In the last 20 years, there have been very few Westerners who have paid insane prices for movie tickets. There have been a few gems like Graveyard and 3:10 to Yuma, but most of the great westerns are decades old. Fortunately, there are many great Westerns that can be seen on Netflix Instant.
Investigators
There is no better way to start the list of great Western films than with John Wayne. In Wayne Investigators play part of a Civil War soldier returning home to his family but when he comes home. he found his family packed up by Comanche Indians. Wayne then sets out to find his daughter kidnapped.
Stagecoach
Stagecoach also plays John Wayne, this time the famous Kid Ringo. Ringo Kid and several other passengers are on the same stage. The journey becomes more complicated when Jerome is caught terrorizing the people in the area.
A broken arrow
In Broken Arrow, an Apache warrior gains the trust of the tribe after saving the life of one of their members. The soldier takes this opportunity to try and make peace between the Apaches and the settlers who live in the town.

Richard Brooks received Oscar nominations for writing and directing this western about a rich Texan who hires four men to save his kidnapped wife.
3:10 to Yuma
Christian Bale and Russell Crowe were recently hit with a remake of Glenn Ford’s movie that was released in 1957. The original plot was similar to the remake. The leader of a group of outlaws is captured in a small town and decides to lead the massacre of a nearby village. to set up those who will take him in judgment, although the people are being persecuted.
Man
Hombre stars Paul Newman as a man who was raised by an Apache. Once John “Hombre” Russell is on stage with seven other passengers when they are robbed by robbers. The man then leads the passengers to the exit.
Proverb Thieves
Mrs. Lowe is a widow, but before her husband’s death she had stolen gold. Mrs. Lowe hires a gunhand named Lane (John Wayne) to retrieve the gold so she can start a new life.
Alleluia Trail
A car full of Denver whiskey is headed for a group of miners. On the way to the Temperance League, US cavalry and miners all try and take control of the wagon train.
Bounty Hunter
The crime of robbery happened in a town called Pinkerton. A year passes without the discovery of the three murders. The detective agency then decided to hire a bounty hunter to track down the killers.
Mackenna Gold
It is believed that Mareschal McKenna saw a map that led to a lot of gold. A Colorado gangster named McKenna takes the lead and insists on gold. On the way Colorado and McKenna find all the townspeople, horsemen and Indians all running on their way to find gold.
