10 New Invention Ideas I’d Like to See – Where are these promising futures? As a child, I certainly thought the year 2000 would be “Future” complete with flying cars and underground dwellings. The year 2000 came and went, and there were no flying cars. We live above the earth (thankfully), and we are still too reliant on fossil fuels.
One monumental innovation that I first remember reading about in a now-defunct science magazine was the Internet. The article described how people can do everything from home between work, shop, watch new movies. and more. He also predicted the end of the act in the theater.
