Come January paycheck, we all find our family members are quite a bit shortchanged. A final tax cut is applied to all paychecks. It’s impossible not to feel broke when you see such a big bite out of your income. We need to find ways to reduce costs in other areas to make up some of that difference. The grocery bill is one way to save a few dollars and feel a little less pain. Here are 10 ways I’ve found to save money at the grocery store.

1. Put it on the table and make a list

I always found it useful to make a list before heading to the grocery store. It helps me remember to collect everything I need. weekly menu helps me make my menu more useful. Some items can be easily purchased in generic form to save money. Do some sampling to learn what kind of things you want to buy. Some over the counter drugs are very subtle in generic form. Some foods taste as good as name brands. Others are not very easily placed in a class. Try the general form some time, and if you find that you are satisfied, then it is an item that you can save some money.

5. Be safe in your foods

Recently the cost of beef has skyrocketed. It saves money on the grocery bill if you reduce the amount of beef you consume and eat more chicken and fish. Pork is also a good alternative. By reducing the amount of red meat that you eat, you will not only improve your health, but also your health.

6. Give food and use less food

There are many meal ideas that use little or no food and are just as satisfying. Try cookies and internet to trigger you. Some examples are the stimulus of cold, or of vivarium and soup.
