15 Most Gruesome Movie Death Scenes

There have been some seriously gruesome death/eye burning scenes in horror and science fiction film history. Some have become legends, and others will forever inhabit my dreams. Either way, the bloodier the death the more memorable. There are some spoilers below – just warning you – so if you haven’t seen the posted poster, you might want to read it, or see the element of offense in person. But each movie is highly recommended for horror and similar movies. Read / rent at your own risk. (in no particular order);

  • Ravenous (1999) – Bear Claw’s end scene with Boyd and Ivo is pretty heavy. Plus, almost the whole soup-eating scene (which is done in such a civilized manner) is very nausea-worthy. Nothing like a food guy to smell your potatoes.
  • Dreams on Elm Stret (1984) – Johnny Depp aka Glen turned into a fountain of blood bubbling in his legendary bedroom. Fortunately for him, his characters now live on a bit in the movies.
  • Alien (1979) – John Hurt aka Kane explodes the box scene will always live in horror and science fiction film of the ugly history It marked the beginning of freedom and the icon of horror.
  • De ruins (2008) – Mathias, eating plants and eating badly, gets more and endures all the horrible suffering before (i.e. a broken spine re-various with mute chickens, starvation. then without pain all his legs are cut off. Poor guy
  • Hostel: Part II (2007) – Two deaths in this movie make my list (but count one) Whitney aka Bijou Phillips is seen beheaded – then her killer Todd is eaten alive by dogs in an elevator. Quite violent.
  • Cabin Fever (2002) – As Karen aka Jordan Ladd is eaten alive by Caro Edini the disease was not bad enough – aka Paula aka Rider Strong is a pity to die with a shovel to the mouth.
  • Scanners (1981) – Having your head exploded and cooked from the inside out is pretty sick – plus the whole stream from the drink thing was something that really freaked me out. Something about my veins just makes me light-headed – and so I just admit it.
  • Omen (1976) – “Look at me, Damien! All yours.” The most famous are the last words of the little antichrist’s mothers before he hangs himself from the roof at the birthday party. Oh and there was that whole Jennings getting his head cut off glass cedar.
  • Hellraiser (1987) – Franke ends up having her badly picked up, stuck with a hook and torn apart by the Cenobites. Pretty thick stuff and clearly quite painful. His face pulling apart was probably the worst part.
  • Ghost Ship (2002) – The beginning of the scene with the dissident dance party (not in the sense of a dance partner) through the anchor line was quite original even if the movie itself wasn’t.
  • Saw 3(2006) – Danica aka Debra Lynn McCabe from a psychopathic jigsaw to getting frozen to death was creative and completely memorable. Probably the most memorable of the many funerals you have seen for me.
  • Sol(2007) – Burned by the sun and left as dust / ash that filled the space of the ship was a terrible way to die. But alive or surviving was perhaps worse.
  • Audition (1999) – Asami is a chick with a beautiful mind who enjoys not only using guns but also using a rope as a technique to disconnect/flesh-flossing human limbs. Ugly.
  • Vivi Mortui/Braindead (1992) – No one wants to mess with parties in that, well, maybe Grandma Leonelli does. I know that afterwards I lost my appetite and never ate the same way again.
  • Final Destination II (2003) – When the barbed wire fence makes bars The kid in three pieces has an unexpected ending quite perverted (pun intended) and that’s one of the most gruesome death scenes in the Final Destination movies.

Greesomely Honorable mentions:

Se7en
(1995) – Mills having his wife’s head delivered to him in a cart, the ending was incredibly memorable and sad.

Fargo (1996) – Inventive, creative and something “you can’t see” wooden scene.

Anaconda (1997) – Paul aka Jon Voight gets eaten and then regurgitated, or is swallowed by a giant snake – yuck clearly.

Sleepy Hollow (1999) – Getting Lady Van Tassel aka Miranda Richardson a bloody kiss then being driven into a tree with a nasty looking chick with Hessian aka Christopher Walken’s worst sleep with more than a finger left in our world is pretty creepy.

The Ring
(2002) – Samara comes from TV to basically scare Noah to death just as he thought he was appeased.

Fieri
(2008) – Pretty much every death scene in that movie was horrifying and especially scarring but the two kids< /a > The cloud of paranoid evil redneck was probably the most disgusting, not to mention unnecessary.
