3 Romantic Weekend Getaways in Ohio

Mini vacations are good for your soul and your relationship. Ohio has wonderful places to choose from. Following the elections the places are paid, treated like royalty and even learn to surf!

Inn & Spa at Honey Run. Located in Holmes County, this full-service bed and breakfast offers both privacy and seclusion. The attractions are wonderful; spa service, warm hospitality and award winning cuisine.

But not a lot of royal travel to receive treatment. The Inn & The Spa at Honey Run is within 2 hours of both Cleveland and Columbus in Millersburg, Ohio, in Amish country.

Speaking of royal treats, Ravenwood Castle is a memorable weekend retreat in Ohio. Hocking Hills is out of the ordinary. Great for families with kids, or just you and your spouse. They offer many hiking opportunities as well as climbing, carting, swimming and bird watching, birds of prey, that is. 25 miles of hiking-trails, unusual rock formations and loads of waterfalls.

The accommodations at Ravenwood are amazing. Stay in the castle itself and enjoy the King Arthur room, choose and direct the duke and duchess room or lake. access to the gardens. The rooms themes are all cleverly decorated and have their own special feel.

From the basics, there are unique camping options. Stay in a medieval cottage, a fairytale cabin, or, my favorite, one of the gypsy wagons. You can either enjoy in the Great Hall, or stop by the Tea Room or the Gift Shop.
Prices are reasonable and comparable to hotel cookie cutters. Starting at just $50 a night for a gypsy wagon to a spacious two bedroom Bank House at $250 a night.

Two night reservations are preferred on weekdays and three nights on peak holidays.

Another one that went out of order was Kalahari Resort. A large indoor waterpark located in Sandusky, Ohio. Also, you can take the family, or just go as a couple. Here is all the supply. It had 80,000 square feet of African theme and 596 African themed guest rooms and suites.
Try surface boarding, or boogie boards, hang out in the lazy river or hit the spam. I love weekend getaways that offer something out of the ordinary.

Get away and relax for a day or two without paying for plane fare or the hassle of being so far away from home.
Sandusky is within 2 hours of Cleveland and if you want to make a longer trip, take a day trip from Cedar Point also The packages are varied and often run on special items. The average cost of a night’s stay is about $200. This includes a fantastic waterpark, spa and other activities on the premises.
