If you’re looking for a place to watch fireworks in Oregon, you don’t have to look far, especially in Eugene. Many will go to Skinner Butte or Matthew Pisgah for a great view of the various personalities and public performances. For those looking for something a little closer to town, and advance reservations, here are some options for you and your family this 4th of July.
28th Annual Art & The vineyard at Alton Baker Park
Art & The 2011 Vineyard Freedom Festival runs July 2 – July 4, 11am-9:30pm. July 4th will start around the evening cause. One day fun costs you $7, or you can pass the whole package with 3 days. $15 Kids under 6 can. This event takes place in Alton Baker Park, which is located right on the banks of the Willamette River in Eugene, Oregon. Parking at Slocum Center is free on July 4th, but get there early if you want. close at hand If you plan to enjoy all three days sports, music, art, wine, know that On-site parking will cost $3 per car.
Eugene Pro Rodeo and Parade Show in Oregon Equestrian Center
This event will give you four chances to see the fireworks, as the show will be hosted each evening (July 1-July 4). The Eugenio Pro Rodeo Website indicates that there will be extra special tables on the 4th, so if you don’t mind the $16 show ($10 for kids) it’s planned to be a fun night. Each day will feature motorcycle jumps, a PRCA rodeo, parades, and dancing. Advance tickets are available at a cheaper price through their website. Parking is $3 per vehicle. They are inaccessible because they are obstructed.
Skinner Butte and Mount Pisgah
Both are located within Eugene and offer a spectacular view of the city. Skinner Butte is accessible by car, making it a nice cozy spot to watch the shows if you can beat the crowds. Mt Pisgah involves a bit of a hike up to the top, but the surrounding panorama is breathtaking. Start your hike to Pisgah two hours before dusk and bring a good flashlight for the descent.
Creswell’s Annual Celebration on the 4th of July
Creswell is a small town outside of Eugene, Oregon. Their annual parade is worth mentioning here, even if it’s not technically Eugene. Many spectators drive from other towns to enjoy the parade and small town atmosphere of the 4th of July in Creswell. In addition to the parade and parade, food, food in the park, craft tents. The whole family will appreciate the free parade at Creswell High School. It starts to show around evening, but parking is limited, so it’s recommended to arrive early.
