As a boy, my friend JC and I played for a short time. We created “Secret Codes” challenging each other to crack the code that our friends said. As a teen I enjoyed reading the daily Cryptoquotes paper, but not for long. I was still trying to decipher what was in the cryptic code. Did the author put the alphabet back, so that Z was for A, and the code for A was equal to Z? “This was too much work for me: must play games! As an adult, reading a self-help book, bother I took it when the authors emphasized that readers should not proceed until they solved the cryptic message. The answer was like “Congratulations you solved the cryptogram”. to start instead. RR”. I started doing Cryptoquotes again daily papers. But not too often. I still didn’t feel like the game fun a>.
It came through the internet technology and I am as addicted to paying Cryptoquotes as any video game junkie. It’s easier to “scrape” and start online than to do it the old fashioned way on paper. My favorite site, Cryptograms.org. made fun of solving cryptic messages. The best and worst puzzle site is “Warning Me”. If the puzzle clicks, I’m asking for a clue. The difficult challenge prompts me to ask for more information. I’m afraid to bear the trouble when the letter of the restaurant telling me to use my number hints: “We have faith in you,” he said. Ah, the fool! but I have the firmest faith in them. The rest is for me to see, as I usually do.
“Say What” is a puzzle written by Puzzability.com. No code to interpret. The letters of the words are to be plucked in place. Clicking on the letters to change the places will solve the puzzle. The notorious “Say What” is updated once a week. Hardly enough for an internet game junkie. Making a different kind of game words and finding myself running into it every so often to add to my collection. Here is a list of the five best and worst quotes found playing cryptic word games online and why.
Best:
1. “To write well, you express yourself as common people, but think as wise men. Or, as wise men think, but speak like common people.” Aristotle
A reminder on how to write well is always welcome. Technology writers often lose me in the first sentence. A smart tech writer will use everyday words to make articles readable.
2. “It’s time for all of us to stand up and celebrate the pioneer, the achiever – the one who recognizes the challenges and does something about it.” Vince Lombardi
Like less Anna Nicole and more Geena Davis.
3. “It seems to me that every person must see that violence does not change the world and if it does then only temporarily.” Martin Scores
“Make love, not war.”
4. “The way a team plays determines its entire success. You can have the biggest bunch of individual stars in the world, but if they don’t play together, the club won’t be a dime. < a href="https://e-info.vn/tag/babe -ruth">“Babe Ruth
The game’s strategy applied to world affairs is simply put, “united we stand, divided we stand.”
5. “It is only in a tree laden with apples that men throw stones.” French speaking
I threw a stone at the technical writers out of a desire for bad science.
Worst:
1. “Success is the greatest use of the ability you have.” Zig Ziglar
Short stories are often easy to solve. He almost missed this one.
2. “As in all human affairs, there are no equals to whom nothing matters.” Victor Hugo
Acting in the affairs of others is often well advised. The human thing doesn’t concern me, but does that mean I care about injustices?
3. “Otherwise a man is idle to judge.” Will Rogers
I go and stumble upon this one. I am broad or open, but I am also quite opinionated. I think that the opinions of others have merit, and I am open-minded, and not lazy to listen to their opinion. There is often a middle ground, and there can be less contention in the world if more people are willing to expand their minds. Clinging to these beliefs is almost wise and inert. We need to consider and change our view. I am open to your opinion on this matter.
4. “Man can be defined as an animal, that is to say, he can know himself as a separate being.” Erich Fromm
The confusion of words made it difficult to decipher.
5. “Logicians can reason about abstracts. But the great multitude of men must have images. The strong tendency of multitudes in all ages and nations to idolatry cannot be explained on any other principle.” Thomas B. Macaulay.
See #1 is the best!
Maybe I enjoy play a game because of this phrase found in playing games: “There is no pleasure in doing nothing. . It’s fun to play lots and not to do . Andrew Jackson As I often say, “It’s hard work.” (Frank Baer) my collection. Thanks to everyone who made me play games on the internet. I don’t know if anyone signed this, “Games, Not War”, but it’s my life philosophy.
