If you want to get in shape for the Fall then joining a gym or health club may be the best way for you. If you live in or near the Louisville, Kentucky area, you’ll find plenty of gyros to choose from. Here is a list of five gyms to check out on your way to better health:

Special Notes/Features: They have been in business for 14 years. For many residents of Crescent Hill, this gym is within walking distance and is located on scenic Frankfort Avenue. Offers daily/weekly personal training, Pilates and Yoga (rates are different than membership – see website). Fitness in Frankfurt offers complimentary training in the first month of your membership (brand new). The staff is degreed and some have ACSM, NSCA, and MES credentials.

Rates: Community-wide family $80 per month and $80 join fee; community wide adult $52 month plus $55 joining fee; community wide senior $47 month and $55 joining fee; the youth community is widely associated with $32 with a $30 wage. Please note that you can use the community wide media at all branches in Louisville. A family represents two adults who live at the same address or one with two adults with dependent children at the same address. An adult is aged 18-64; senior 65 or older; and considered youth 10-17 or still in high school.
Additionally, the YMCA does not turn anyone away due to inability to pay. They will work with you in a group rate on your household income.
Special Notes/Features: The YMCA Downtown Branch offers six floor areas (over 6,000 square feet) to exercise! It also has a 25 yard indoor heated pool, food court and kids staff. Other features include six-pack racquetball and ball courts, Nautilus Olympic Free Weights, Computerized Fitness Track System (FITLINXX), Cybex Machine, indoor running/walking track, Certified Personal Trainers and Massage Therapists (with additional fees for both), and much more!
