5 Collectible Card Games that Aren’t Worth Much

There are hundreds of different card games or collectible games that have been or still are. Of course, some of these trading cards can be very expensive, such as baseball or football cards. Magic card collection also succeed. Unfortunately, most of these games simply involve teaming up to bank on a popular television show or something else. Most of them are abandoned, and here are some of them just right.

Pokemon
Well, Pokemon has been a successful partnership, but collectors have been left with relatively poor cards. Only a few first editions from the first few sets are worth anything close to or over $100. Most cards can be bought for pennies, and the occasional rare card will go for a few bucks. Unfortunately, collectors in large collections will not find them of much value if the rarer cards are not in the collection. Pokemon was extremely successful, but the Pokemon TCG was not the most expensive investment.

Digimon
Unlike Pokemon, Digimon trading-cards were hitting the gates. The series was nowhere near as popular as Pokemon, so it suffered relatively low sales between them. Also, the card never really got any value over the years. Sure, you can undoubtedly find the occasional valuable paper. Digimon trading cards were just another way for the creators to get some more money from the fans. In the end, the collector is left with some pretty useless and bad cards.

Dragon Ball Z/GT
Dragon Ball Z is one of the most popular anime series of all time. Dragonball GT wasn’t well received, but it worked. So, you would think that TCG or CCG is incredibly popular in these games. There are plenty of these cards for collectors, but their popularity has waned over the years with a general audience. For major stores no longer carry any type of DBZ/GT business cards. Some of the rarer cards are worth a hundred dollars or more, which is fantastic. However, most cards aren’t worth a ton of cash. These trading cards can be considered one of the most successful but not-so-successful TCGs/CCGs.

Yu-Gi-O!
Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading cards were extremely popular when they first came out. Plenty of people still play and collectors exist. Despite this, the cards themselves are not incredibly valuable. You could never outgrow your Yu-Gi-Oh! collection for the next fifty years. Obviously, popularity does not always translate into increased value. Yu-Gi-Oh! businesses fall into the trap. You can hang on to these cards as long as you want, but you probably won’t ever have a ton of money.

WWF/WWE
Finally, we come to the WWF and WWE wrestling cards. Society is trying to put an end to the term “wrestling”, but we all know the truth. Wrestling business cards have been around for quite some time and usually depict scenes and wrestlers from the past and present. Unfortunately, most of these cards aren’t worth anything at all because wrestling isn’t the kind of thing where you want to pick cards. Most sports fans stick to collecting memorabilia.

Value and dignity are not the same.
Well, I guess they are. However, there is no doubt that you may be valuing your business cards for more than they are actually worth. Collectors who collect to fulfill their joy of collecting something, will have no problem with trading cards that aren’t worth a ton t. Of course, “failed” business card games are only problems for the collector who wanted to profit from their collections.
