The ceremonies sometimes take place in the same place as the reception; often the ceremony will be held outside in the seat, then (but it will be moved in the same property) so the reception takes place inside. Many ceremonies still take place in temples, and receptions are held somewhere around.

Chiminello Catering has a beautiful facility in downtown Fresno, located in the Grand Ballroom at the International Trade Center. The room has a 22-foot ceiling with marble walls and columns that give it an elegant air. Parking is not free but because it is not in a good part of town; Guests are welcome to provide parking. There the food is excellent and they serve delicious sized portions. Offsite fear that they used to do that. (More details at www.chiminellocatering.com).

Nancy Vajretti of Love and Allia is an excellent chef whose food presentation is absolutely beautiful. He has done several “public” functions that I have done and he always does a great job. But when he sits down at dinner, the portions tend to be a bit lean. Make sure you ask for full service when you negotiate your bookings and prices. One of the most beautiful places for outdoor weddings is Wolf Lake in Sanger. It is quite close to Fresno, ten miles east of Clovis Avenue from Ashlan Avenue and close to the Sierra foothills. community property I live next door; I believe that “my” lake and their lake are the common meeting place. Despite its proximity to my home, I wasn’t there until last summer. A long time ago, my friends told me that I was a lake fishing with the ability to participate. Imagine my surprise when I drove down the driveway and found plains sloping down beautifully to a small lake with an island in the middle of it all. It’s not just a “fishing lake” anymore. They have a covered facility for two events at once and several well-attended events. Your guests can take a boat ride at the function and the wedding party can come by boat and/or the bride and groom can go out by boat. The good news is – it’s out there; The bad news is – it’s out. As beautiful as the setting is, I wouldn’t set up office there until before mid-May and after mid-September – and, I’d have a secondary plan if it was above 85 degrees. I don’t even start anything before 6pm and I’d like to check out the portable AC standards. (I don’t like the heat.) I can’t wait until they add shade, fully air conditioning, venue.
