5 Places to Visit in San Diego, California

San Diego, California is one of the top places for tourists to come and visit. I’ve lived here my whole life, and usually when people ask me where to go, I always say these 5 places.

Seaport Village

Seaport Village offers a variety of things to do. It overlooks San Diego Bay and the setting is absolutely beautiful. They have many grassy areas and shade trees where you can sleep under or have a picnic lunch. They have little shops street vendors who make things like airbrushed shirts or personalized name bracelets. They are also home to annual events, including Art of the Arts: Food, Music & Wine and also the Holiday in the Orto, which features shows and caroling. Parking is free, mostly on the street and in large parking lots.

San Diego Birch Aquarium

This aquarium is more than a home for our marine animals. They have exhibits that provide a great learning experience about some animals along with educational programs for children. They have special tours at an additional cost. The best thing they offer is a feeding schedule. Not only can you learn about the animals, but you can also observe how they feed and how they eat their food. Admission prices start at $12 for adults, $9 for college students, $8.50 for children 2-17 years old while children under 2 can

San Diego Gaslamp Quarter

Whether you want to shop, enjoy fine dining or taste the nightlife, Gaslamp Quarter is just for you. ! The Gaslamp is known for their hospitality. They have many nightclubs to choose from. It can be a hassle unless you are a professional in parallel parking! Parking lots have meters, while other parking lots have minimum parking times, ranging from 15 minutes to 2 hours. There are conveniently located parking lots along the Gaslamp that charge hourly rates from $3 or $8-$15 all day.

La Jolla Beach

You can do more than swim, tan and surf at this beach. La Jolla Beach offers snorkeling, kayaking and scuba diving. This beach is ideal if you have children because they have a Children’s Pool and it also has very clear water on the beach. Parking is free but make sure you stay within the minimum and maximum limits. Most parking spaces have a 2 hour maximum and some have a 15 minute maximum.
