Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon captured the world’s attention before she was even born. When Madonna announced that she was pregnant in April 1996, criticism and media surprise about her impending motherhood abounded.
Lourdes, nicknamed Lola, was born in October, and already after fourteen years of age she gave herself a name and seems like a terrific young gal. Mama Madonna is no doubt proud that she raised a great kid, although many were skeptical that Madonna’s reasons for procreating were for her own promotion or other studio conflicts. We see Lola looking forward as she grows up, now as she enters puberty her star power and terror explodes. Although her mother is the superstar Madonna, Lola seems like a normal teen when it comes to how she feels sometimes. about parents Lola occasionally posts on the Material Girl blog. In a post last December, she wrote: “I read this blog aloud to my mother and she’s sitting here looking at me with no expression on her face, as if she doesn’t approve of it! Lola manages to stand out with her funny style; That consideration is a hard feat to do especially if you put yourself next to Madonna. C’mon, of course Lola is awesome, Madonna’s daughter. And Lola seems to be grounded and working like a mom. Madonna proved to herself and the world that she was a good mother by raising her grounded but still cool teen. Lola is only 14, but she seems to have done the wildest thing to dye her already brown hair a little darker and the second piercing gold. We’ll have to wait a little longer to see if Lola will be as wild and crazy as Madonna, but it just doesn’t seem like Lola will turn into Lindsey Lohan.
