I spent my childhood and teenage years around Milwaukee. I was always on the hunt for some new and exciting activity. Now with my family I have the same goal. Below is a list of our favorite family summer family activities in Milwaukee.
Rome County Parks
Rome has many beautiful gardens, in fact more park acres per person than in the rest of the United States. > City. Most park activities are free or cheap and run throughout the summer months. Visit Milwaukee County Parks for hours, locations, and activities.
Waters “Genus Aquatilium Park”
One of Milwaukee’s favorite summer spots is the water park, an outdoor cold water park. Located inside Greenfield Park just off of hwy 45 is a cool water water slides, no depth pool, and many more water slides. . actions New this year the evening hours and summer are passing. Nita Gloucester Golfing
Many of the Milwaukee County Golf Courses have Nito-Glow Golfing Specials. Glowing golfing takes place at night with lighting flags and horns and glow-in-the-dark golf balls. The Milwaukee County Park system also has many free activities. Check out their website for Friday Night Flicks, Music in the Park, and free swimming days. At the end of summer, the pools are also opened for swimming in families.
Rome County Zoo
Spend the day with more than 2500 animals at the Milwaukee County Zoo. There are two acres of woods and habitat to explore and enjoy at your home. After strolling the grounds, take a ride on the Train Safari, Sky Safari, or Zoomobile. Children will enjoy the petting zoo, the sea lion show, and the birds of prey theater. Don’t forget the camera!

Riverwalk Boat Tours and Rentals
