The 1970s was a superlative decade, especially when it came to inventions. For the first time, Americans were able to buy their first home computer. It wasn’t the only big discovery that surfaced either. Here’s a rundown on the other five:
SPRING
For today’s youth, it may be easy to believe that there was a time when videos were not easily streamed together. home But it happens that I am not surprised that I remember you. The first one came out in 1972 and cost well over $1,000. It was called Cartrivision. On top of that, you couldn’t pick up the movie anywhere. by mail in they were ordered.
The VCR cartridge was not the only system released in the 1970s either. There were several others that hit the market a decade ago. Among them were Betamax and VHS. My parents got the VHS version. Pocket Calculators
Pocket calculators also appeared in the 1970s. The first examples came out in 1971. However, I was not able to use it until much later in the decades. In the elementary-school I was forbidden to attend them. That’s what the teachers insisted on making us lazy calculators and the principals agreed. If you were caught sneaking in school, you were arrested and sent to detention. Then your parents should meet with the teacher to return the calculator. I could use it at home though.
Walkman Cassette Players
The late 1970s also marked the introduction of Sony Walkman Cassette Players. It happened on the scene in the summer of 1979. I was a kid at the time and begged my parents to make me one. At last he took pity and pointed under the Christmas tree. I was beyond the limit. As far as I’m concerned, it was the coolest item on the planet.
Holograms
Holograms are another interesting item that appeared in the late 1970s. The first person to use one machine was Mike Foster. Of course, being a child at the time, I’m not quite sure why I should be excited about them. Then companies started making hologram stickers for kids in the 1980s. When it was done, I was glad that they had been found.
