I was surprised when I was reviewing the lyrics of Paul Simon’s “50 Ways To Leave Your Lover” I counted them and found that he really only provided 6. These include 1) Slipping back (Jack,) 2). Making a new plan (Stan,) 3) Hopping on the bus (Gus,) 4) Not being coy (Roy,) and 6) Dropping the key (Lee.) Like the kid who accompanied (and whose mother taught al) PS164 in Kew Gardens Hills, Queens, New York, I am also welcome. I wanted to go a little further, so here are seven ways to cook your liver.

Years ago, when we were working in a residential treatment with disturbed adolescents, the liver was cooked and we refused to touch it until my wife called her a wreck ‘Elephant Ears.’ Suddenly, they couldn’t get enough of it. Maybe what we call things really does matter!

Liver inn be cooked well in the pot, but because the process takes so long, it is important to add liquid, so that the liver is not too it is cooked, which is prone, if it has been cooked in any way. It is an easy thing to add sweet and sour. One of my friends only pours a cup of ketchup into a container with a bunch of lemon juice. He needs it, it’s ugly.
