Homemade Foot Spray for Stinky Feet

Stinky feet can be embarrassing, and are certainly no fun to have. Foot powders and creams can help with the itchiness and odor that the bacteria with stinky feet causes, but a homemade foot spray that is super easy to make can get rid of the odor, control the sweatiness that causes stinky feet, and relieve the pain and itchiness with stinky feet as well. Learn how to make your own homemade foot spray, quick and easy, to get rid of nasty foot odor, curb the sweating in your feet, and keep them from being stinky all day long! No messy creams or powders required!

Mint is a natural antibacterial, and a naturally soothing property for inflammation, itchiness, and irritation. Mint can be found in fresh, dried, or even in an essential oil form. To make your own homemade foot spray for your stinky feet, you will need 4 mint tea bags (peppermint or mint), witch hazel (which hazel blocks pores in your feet from sweating and is an exfoliant), and tea tree oil, which has amazing antibacterial and healing properties to kill the bacteria that causes your stinky feet to begin with. Combined with the witch hazel and the mint (which will soothe those aching feet soon as you put it on), your itchy, stinky feet will be cured in no time!

Simply boil 4 mint teabags in a cup of water for 5 minutes. Remove from the burner, then allow to sit for 30 minutes to steep. Remove the teabags from the water and pour the mint water into a spray bottle. Add 1 cup of witch hazel and 1/4 teaspoon tea tree oil to the spray bottle and shake well. Apply to your feet whenever you notice wetness or odor in your feet.

This homemade foot spray for stinky feet works great as a preventative for stinky feet as well. After getting out of the shower, thoroughly dry your feet then apply the homemade foot spray to your feet, allowing to dry before you put on socks or shoes. This foot spray will keep your feet from sweating, which helps keep away bacteria in the feet (that causes stinky feet to begin with) and keeps them dry for healthier feet all around. It also makes your feet smell super nice with that minty scent! Try it!

note: if you don’t have any tea tree oil, simply substitute another tea bag instead. If the mint is too strong, add 1/4 cup water to the spray bottle to help dilute it. Rubbing alcohol can be used in place of witch hazel, but in my experience it has too strong an odor for my liking and doesn’t work near as well as witch hazel does in keeping feet from sweating. If you have mint leaves or mint in an essential oil, then you can use those instead. 1/4-1/2 cup mint leaves steeped in water or about 6-8 drops of mint essential oil.
