Burger King Angry Whopper is Exciting and Delicious

Every time that Burger King or McDonald’s launches a new type of burger or other menu item, it seems as though they also launch massive advertising campaigns, including frequent airing of television commercials featuring the new product. Such is the case with Burger King’s newest type of Whopper sandwich, the Angry Whopper.

Although I don’t particularly like the name of the sandwich, after seeing many TV commercials for the Angry Whopper, I knew that I had to try one. Yesterday, after leaving an appointment, I was very hungry and decided to go to Burger King, so I could try one of their Angry Whopper’s. I was so impressed with this product, that I had to write a consumer product review of it. Presented here, is one food writer’s consumer product review of the Burger King Angry Whopper.

Size

If you’ve ever eaten a regular Burger King Whopper, then you know approximately how big the Angry Whopper is (290g). In actuality, the Angry Whopper seems a little bit bigger than the regular Whopper to me, because of the extra ingredients that are included.

Nutrition Facts

When I was ordering the Angry Whopper from a local Burger King, I looked at the nutritional chart on the wall and saw that the Angry Whopper was not listed yet. I also looked on the Burger King web site and could not find any nutritional information for this sandwich. For comparison purposes, the regular Whopper contains 680 calories, with 40 grams of total fat. The Burger King Whopper also contains 1.5 grams of trans fat and is high in protein.

Ingredients

The Burger King Angry Whopper contains a large, flame- grilled burger patty, lettuce, tomatoes, delicious fried- style onions, jalapeno peppers, bacon, pepper jack cheese and a spicy mayonnaise- type sauce that is called “Angry Sauce”.

Price

The price that I paid for one Angry Whopper yesterday at a Hartford, Connecticut area Burger King restaurant was $4.55. I actually thought that the price was quite high, but I paid it anyhow. Because the Angry Whopper was so large, delicious and filling, I have to state that it was probably worth it. Considering the fact that the price of everything else has risen, it only makes sense that the price of some Burger King menu items, including new items, would also be more expensive.

Taste / Flavor

When it comes to taste, the Burger King Angry Whopper is a fairly- spicy and satisfying sandwich. While it certainly is a Whopper and maintains much of the original Whopper’s flavor, the Angry Whopper also features a distinctly different taste. To me, the sandwich tastes quite exciting and offers a very unique taste.

The combination of flavors that are offered by the extra ingredients in this sandwich blend well together, to create a well- balanced product. The bacon and pepper jack cheese add a rich fullness to the sandwich and the very flavorful onions add a sense of zip, or excitement. The “Angry Sauce” that tops the Burger King Angry Whopper is also quite tasty, but I think that plain mayonnaise would work just as well.

Consistency / Presentation

The consistency of the Burger King Angry Whopper provides a very pleasant mouth- feel. The soft bun, burger and onions are complemented well by the firm tomato slices and jalapeno peppers and the lettuce adds a sense of cool, refreshing crispness. Even with all of the ingredients contained in the Burger King Angry Whopper, this hefty sandwich holds itself together amazingly well, without ingredients falling- out everywhere.

Overall Rating

All things considered, the Burger King Angry Whopper is a delicious, top- quality product that offers a spicy and unique flavor. The sandwich is very filling and may actually be too large for some consumers to finish all at once. Although I personally feel that the price is a little high, it is also right in line with similarly- sized sandwiches offered at other burger chains. If you are seeking a tasty alternative to the regular offerings at Burger King, or any other fast- food restaurant, then chances are, you’ll be quite satisfied with the Angry Whopper from Burger King.
