How to Sell on Ebay and Actually Make Money

Selling items on Ebay is very simple and the payout is great if you know what to sell. There are many out there who think that they need to buy books or computer programs on how to be better Ebay sellers and none of this is necessary. All that you need to sell on Ebay is a computer, a great item to sell, and the ability to describe that item in a way that will make people want to buy it.

Before you sell anything on Ebay always do research and figure out what is selling at that time. There are items that will always sell and these items go quickly. Some items that sell well are items made of silver, such as flatware, pitchers, and anything antique. Always look on the bottom of these items to see what manufacturer they come from then do a search on Ebay to see if a similar item or item from that company has been listed. If there are bids on that item check to see what the beginning bid was and then you will know how to price that item. Also, you can also do research online to see how much that particular piece is worth. I always list these items at half of what they are worth and people tend to bid quickly because they already know what it is worth and are willing to pay half the price.

Other items that sell well are china, vintage comics, and well-liked movies. Selling china on Ebay is very similar to selling silver. Always do research before listing and list at the lowest price you are willing to give it away at. Make it worth your while when listing items and pricing. Vintage comics sell well because many of them are rare and there is a high demand for these items and same goes for the well-like movies.

I go to yard/garage sales every now and then and look for items to sell on Ebay. Most people having these sales do not know what their items are really worth and so being a very informed Ebayer will help you obtain items you know will sell very well.

When listing an item on Ebay, always describe the item in full detail. Tell the potential buyer the condition the item is in and whether there are chips or cracks in it. If the buyer receives that item and is not happy because the listing was dishonest they will probably want a refund and this is something you want to avoid when selling on Ebay. Feedback scores are very important and if you make someone angry over a sell they are very likely to give you negative feedback. Buyers are less likely to buy from you if they see that you have bad feedback because then they feel that they can not trust you as a seller. So, honesty and integrity is very important when selling on Ebay.

You will always see ads for programs or books saying they will help you be a better Ebay seller, but these are not necessary because the more you sell the more you learn. The more research you do on particular items the more knowledge you have about what sells and this will help you be a better Ebayer. I began selling on Ebay two years ago and I have never had to buy extra reading material to do what I do and I have been doing very well because I know what sells and I know how to describe my items in a way that would make others want to purchase my items. I hope this was informative and happy Ebaying!!
