It’s time for the 2012 NFL week 14 predictions and picks. The week kicks off on Thursday with a battle between the Broncos and the Raiders in Oakland. Can Peyton Manning‘s comeback season continue on the road as the season continues? Manning has been as tough on the road as he has been at home, so I don’t see him being challenged this week. Peyton throws 3 touchdown passes with 2 interceptions, but it’s enough for the Broncos to win on the road 27-17. Moreno’s marks add 83 yards.
The 2012 NFL Week 14 schedule continues on Sunday. St. Louis heads to Buffalo to address the bills. This is as vague as it gets. The Rams are difficult to predict on a weekly basis like the Bills. Buffalo wins at home, but not completely upset by the Roms. However, I think the Bills put enough points on the board to win 26-23. Sam Bradford was selected in the power hunt by winning the 4 tapes.
Dallas visits Cincinnati in what could be an interesting matchup. The Cowboys desperately need a win but the Bengals have certainly matured this season. I think Bengal will win the road with a 31-23 victory. Andy Dalton throws 2 touchdown passes and runs for another in the win.
Kansas City is at Cleveland in a battle of teams destined for the high lottery in the NFL draft. I think the Browns romp here in a 26-10 victory. Brandon Weeden fires 3 touchdown passes in the win.
Indianapolis hosts Tennessee on other Sundays starting Saturday, 14th on the schedule. Who picks up on my predictions and this? I think the Colts will get a big game from Andrew Luck. The rookie bounced back from a multi-interception game in Detroit with a 4 touchdown performance in week 14. Luck passed for 293 yards and the Cubs won 34-20.
Chicago got on the road to play Minnesota. The Bears were able to use a critical path to stay ahead of Green Bay in their division. I will read my predictions and tell the future. Adrian Peterson gets 2 touchdowns and 123 yards, but the Bears eventually find a way to win. Robbie Gould drilled a game-winning field goal with :03 left to give the Bears a 20-17 win.
visiting Philadelphia Tampa Bay in which the Bucs seem to be winning on paper. Fighting Eagles with 4 more turnovers as Tampa wins 23-13.
Baltimore is in Washington to try and slow down Robert Griffin to lead the Redskins. The Ravens slow down RG3’s defense and the Redskins win 27-20. Ray Rice tallied 2 touchdowns in a loss to Baltimore.
Carolina hosts Atlanta in what appears to be a Falcon victory. But my predictions and the law say this one will be very close. In fact, I think the Falcons are going to win overtime on Matt Bryant’s field goal. Atlanta runs away with a 27-24 tie.
Jacksonville hosts the New York Jets on Saturday’s 14th schedule. The Jags play close but no cigar with a 23-21 loss to the Jets. The Jags fumbled 3 times in the loss.
San Diego heads to Pittsburgh to play the Steelers. The Shields could use a road win, but I don’t think it will happen in Pittsburgh. Steel rises to the curtain to intercept Philip River 4 times in the tie 26-13.
San Francisco powers Miami in the other eight act 14. The Dolphins could be on the road for a long time. San Francisco forces 5 turnovers and beats the Dolphins 31-9.
Elsewhere, Arizona hosts Seattle. The Seahawks are much tougher at home and they show it here. Russell Wilson fires 3 touchdown passes, 2 to Golden State, in a 27-13 win.
The New York Giants host New Orleans in another matchup. Can the Saints win a tough and critical road game? I don’t think the Cards are stacked against New Orleans to win here. The Giants get 3 touchdown passes from Eli Manning to beat the Giants 31-27.
The Green Bay Packers will host the Detroit Lions on Sunday night. Many from Lambeau jump to the Packers to support the Bears. That’s exactly what happened. 4 different players scored in the Packers 38-23 win. Aaron Rodgers runs one touchdown and passes for 3 more, but chooses not to jump.
On Monday, New England hosts Houston in what should be an easy game of the week. The Patriots scored 34 points on a typically Texans defensive performance. Pats win 34-20. Tom Brady fires 3 touchdown passes and 345 yards.
That’s it for my 2012 NFL Week 14 predictions and picks. I’ll be back in 15 weeks for another round of predictions and readings.
