STRAIGHT offers mid-week quarters of support for young professionals. There is a perfect crew of artisans, innkeepers, associates, and squires. It’s a very trendy venue where socialites gather to sip drinks and listen to the latest DJ come in and pull out 1’s and 2’s. It is a great birthday party venue that you will have no doubt getting friends inside. There is a lot of seat space for you to sit in the comfort of your friends.
Upstairs, it’s where you’ll find a secluded lounge area where many people can spend their days talking, relaxing, having a glass of Pimm’s Cup and looking into some bruschetta. Those who are timeless chilling at the bar where everyone else is and enjoying the sight of black men and women walking around in an intimate setting, listening to music and socializing like a black pack Fabiola Beracas imitation artists. But luxury and new-age furniture is just as appealing to the eyes, and all the more appealing to sit on.
You will find far more of the scene. That’s what you’re looking for in the middle of the week, on a weeknight, right? Well, believe me, there is room. They always bring in a hot DJ, and there’s going to be a place for anyone looking for something to do on South 14th Street. Hip-hop music is great, so if you’re looking for something different, I have to say you’re going to be out of luck. R&B every now and then, but when the DJ usually looks to tantalize the crowd, it’s hard to find anything other than a hip-hop beat coming from the DJ table.
