If you live in Orlando or are just planning to visit, then Jazz City is a place you should definitely visit. It is located in the Universal Studio City Walk. It is in the center of the city Ambula and the air is great. The admission fee is $7.00 unless you have a City Walk pass, prices vary depending on the event. Must be 18 years or older to enter. They have great live music, from Jazz to R&B; and more.
Open 8pm – 1am Sun Thurs, and 7pm – 2am Fri & Sat.
There is a comedy schedule that you can look up online, it gives you a brief description, plus pictures of each comedian performing at the selected times.
I happened to go because it was my best friend’s birthday and he was hosting Jazz City. When we walked into it, it was really nice inside, it was dark with a certain light that felt romantic. Waiters come to your table for drinks or finger foods. We had chicken strips with fries, and they were pretty good. That night they had a special comedy that was in Will and Grace, I don’t remember his name, but he was a special guest that night. He was hilarious, he was also a magician so he did a lot of tricks which were really funny.
He chooses from the crowd and brings out from the crowd, one of them was my husband. It was so funny to see him with his straight jacket on stage. He made my husband sing and dance, everyone was laughing so hard. I cracked myself up and couldn’t help but laugh. After he became a comedian, he went down to where everyone was and signed autographs and took pictures with everyone, he was really nice.
The live band then starts playing all kinds of music, from the 80’s to the 90’s. And they all got up and danced on the great floor.
If you are looking for a fun night then be sure to stop by Jazz City, you will enjoy every second of it. I’m very difficult and when I came to Jazz City I had so much fun and wanted to go again the next night.
