Is it Worth the Price? – The Littermaid Self Cleaning Cat Litter Box

Most cat owners have probably seen or at least heard of cleaning their litter boxes. I know I’ve seen many infomercials advertising how wonderful and easy they are to use. But, with prices starting around $100 I could never justify it, so much for what I’m spending that I’m not even working, especially since I can buy a litter box and any discount store for less than $10.

So I decided not to buy an expensive car litter box. I have to say that I was very impressed by this one though. Who wants to clear this box? As far as I know, this chore is dreaded by most cat owners. And if you don’t stay on this beach today, your house will soon smell like a giant litter box. So, when you look at it this way, $100 or so doesn’t seem so bad if having a brand means cleaning out no more stinky litter boxes. Almost. Although this seems flattering, I still wondered if it was even necessary.

So I continued to get rid of the litter box on a regular basis, even though I still saw commercials for the litter box. There were times when I saw these records and was incredibly tempted to spend a little more than $100, although these times I almost always cleaned out the litter box.

I was shopping at Wal Mart the other day and noticed that they had the Littermaid Self Cleaning Cat Litter Box on sale for $65, which I thought was a great price. After seeing that, I was inspired to shop around and see what kind of bedding I could find in these boxes.

I searched Ebay and came across many good deals, but once shipping was added, it would cost about the same or a little higher than the Wal Mart sale. price I also found a couple of used litter boxes at very low prices, however, I knew that my two cats would not appreciate a litter box that had been ruined by another cat.

After shopping around I decided to spend $65 at Wal Mart for the Littermaid Self Cleaning Cat Litter Box. I thought that if there was no work I would return to work.

$65 later I returned home to put the litter box together, which was surprisingly simple. I swapped it out for an old litter box and watched as my cats slept and explored the new addition to their home. And, not long before, it was to be seen if it would work.

The litter box is set up with an infrared sensor. When the sensor is turned off (when your cat goes to the bathroom) the litter box waits ten minutes before sending out a rake to clean it. If he touches the rake in any way, like a cat, he pulls back and waits again. When he has released the hoe, he scoops up the mess and deposits it in a plastic container in the boxbox >, which has above, so that the deposit remains behind the cover.

When the plastic container is full, you put it on top, throw it in the garbage and replace it with a new one. It is simple and all that pleases.

I love cat coffin television because my house always smells like the litter box has just been cleaned, because it was. Also cut into my cat box tasks. So, I think $65 for the Littermaid Self Cleaning Cat Litter Box was well worth it. It works great and makes my life a little easier.
