Cox EXILE Internet is probably the best broadband ISP I have used to connect to the Internet. Cox once in a while (especially in the mornings), but the down time I’ve experienced with them is never as different as any other ISP I’ve tried, and it’s to be expected during busy times. area, when all cable connections go through a common connection (the speed depends on how many people subscribe to the same cable and use the same line).
The thing that makes Cox one of the best broadband ISPs (Internet Service Providers) is their speed. The speed of the Cox High Speed Internet broadband service is one of the fastest available, with a Premiere service option that gives you a download rate of 12 Mbps. This is available for $56.95 a month at the top end, and only $22.20 a month with their “Cox Combo,” which includes cable and ‘s services, which are also exceptional.
For those who don’t need extra speed, slower and less expensive services are available through Cox High Speed. One of them is Mali Service, which gives you a maximum download speed of 7 Mbps, which is still super fast than many other services out there, including DSL. This option is $49.95 a month on the high end, and $15.20 a month with the Cox Combo.
A third option available through Cox is called value service which offers a maximum download speed of 1.5 Mbps (similar to DSL). This Value Service is great for those who need a faster than heavy dial, but either don’t use the Internet much, or don’t want to spend extra money (although the value of the service costs more than having the best service available with the Cox Combo). This option is only available for one price, at $26.95 per month.
All Cox EXPRESS Internet users also get quite a few extra. Each user receives a Cox Security Suite, which includes Anti-Virus, Parental Controls, Pop-Up Blocker, Anti- Spyware, Firewall, Spam Blocker, and Anti-Phishing Software. This is a great plan, and it’s free to all Cox High Speed Internet users.
Also included for free are seven email accounts, email access, and one 10 MB website for each of your seven users. system with 300 MB of bandwidth for each, portal protocol, and excellent 24/7 technical support.
I haven’t had to use their technical support services many times over the years, but each year has been a pleasant experience. The Cox staff is supportive, always answers the phone quickly, and will always stay with you to solve the problem, even when it’s difficult.
A couple of times they also helped me with problems caused by another company that didn’t want to help. For example, when I arrived at Vonage, it brought my fax machine to the internet. Vonage put me on hold for quite a while, then they couldn’t help me after the hold. I called Cox, and they were able to help me through a long process to fix the problem. Even when I ask a stranger, they seem to know exactly what needs to be done and can always walk me through the process. Cox has a technical support staff that seems to know absolutely everything about their system, and any other service that can be used with their system, both directly and indirectly.
I am not associated with Cox in any way, and I do not benefit them personally. I simply love almost everything about Cox High Speed Internet service (and the entire Cox Combo, for that matter), which is saying a lot, as I tend to be very picky.
