For those who want to work with children, but don’t want to work in a sports or camp environment, this could be an AmeriCorps VISTA opportunity. good fit Summer Legit work program with school-age children from Kindergarten through 3rd grade and will follow in St. Paul summer school. In the mornings there are helpers in the school, and in the afternoon they facilitate activities in various places (libraries, recreation centers, etc.). This is an eight-week opportunity to develop teaching skills, and pays $200/week plus $1,000 for tuition to completion. Adaptability, interpersonal skills and high energy levels are required. Applicants must be 18 or older.
