Denver’s Stapleton’s Central Park is Open

Located on 80 acres, Stapleton Central Park in Denver has been on the planning and design stage for nearly 10 years. Hundreds of Stapleton area residents provided input about what they wanted and needed in the park. The park responded in more fantastic ways than anyone could have imagined.

Stapleton Central Park is easy to get to. On Martin Luther King Blvd. It is set to quickly become one of the most popular parks in the Denver area.

You’ll find benches to sit on, climbing equipment, multi-use playgrounds, picnic shelters, shade, trails, and water features. Here is a list of the many landmarks found at Stapleton’s in Central Park:

steep wall
If you love rock climbing, or want to bring your kids to the sport, you won’t be disappointed at Stapleton’s Central Park. At 30 feet long and reaching heights between eight and 12 feet, this wall is more like real rock than most climbing walls.

When it is for public use, the mobile does not have hand and foot hands; but they are placed in counsel.

If you’re a novice exhibitor or you’re worried about babies falling, the designers plan for this too. There are wood chips at the bottom of the rock for a pillow, in case something falls.

Promenade and walking trails
Providing an ideal place for walking, the trails in Stapleton Central Park are 3,500 feet long. While you relax and walk the streets, you will also have spectacular views of both Downtown Denver and Mt. Evans. The view is so amazing that you should expect to see a myriad of postcard photos taken from different places along this road.

Fountain and pool
One of the features that was requested by almost everyone was some kind of water features. Designers have successfully completed two beautiful water lines. One is an interactive fountain that recirculates water to a pool that is larger than one acre in size.

Sledding hills
Finding a suitable location for Arrow in the middle of Denver was a challenge. Stapleton Central Park is designed for people who love the hills too!

Following a series of “waves” in the topography, you will find an amazing 35′ high mountain that is designed to sled down with snow. This feature is in the north corner of Stapleton Park.

Urban Forest
You will find many trees and benches to sit, relax and enjoy the air in the forest, in the center of the city.

If you live in Denver’s dance area, Stapleton Central will quickly become one of your family’s favorite parks.
