Recently, John McCain, whose full name is John Sidney McCain III, cited his mother and advanced age in a battle to convince the electorate that he is not too old to be president. After seeing new commercials from McCain starring him and his mother, he is convinced that John McCain will win in his nine or more years. this is when it occurred to me that I had heard nothing of the father’s age at death. Could it be a political spin on the old mother story?
A few minutes of Google searching provided me with the answers. John McCain’s father was Admiral John Sidney McCain, Jr. Like John McCain, his father attended the Naval Academy. Later he pursued a position of dignity and strength in the military. This information was found on the McCain 2008 website.
So how did old McCain’s father die? The answer is that he was born in 1911 and died of Heart Attack in 1981. If my math skills are good for me to serve, because he is 70. John McCain is now 3 years old, 71 years old. If elected to the office of President of the United States for two full terms, McCain would be 80 years old. to fme Gron. No president has ever held office in that era.
Perhaps his father’s death was an anomaly in the family. I went back to Google to check my paternal grandfather’s death. Again within a few minutes I had the information. The name, of course, is John Sidney McCain, Sr. First McCain attended the Naval Academy and also held military positions. But how long did he live? John Sidney McCain was born in 1884. He died in 1945. That is 61 years old.
McCain had better hopes for the likes of his mother’s side of the family. If not, Republicans are looking for a new candidate at their convention this summer. For a clearer perspective on McCain’s probability of a long life you can visit, “Can McCain Survive the Presidency? The Longevity Calculator Says Yes.” (YES HERE). In that article, published in Content Associate, the lifespan was estimated at nearly 100 years.
McCain can live well and be an old and healthy man and I hope he does. His mother seems like a beautiful lady, and it is very nice to include her in his son’s family. McCain’s use of his mother in ads seems to be doing better than the live appearances they did together. While on the air, Mormons reported on the Olympics in Utah. John red at her then issued a statement about his views. Videotaped commercials seem like a better option.
I wonder if it occurred to John McCain, using his mother to show how young he is, in fact, using his mother to show how old he is. It appears that new political resources include elderly people. I just hope that Barack Obama doesn’t claim Jimmy Carter as his real Grandpa.
