Does the Insulin-Resistance Diet Work? Week 1

Not long ago I wrote an article about insulin resistance and how it can make you lose weight. I also mentioned the book in that article, The Insulin-Resistance Diet: How to Turn Off Your Body’s Fat Making Machine, and how the authors explain how to lose weight using the “link and balance” method of eating. The question is, does link and balance really work and how practical is it?

To find out if the methods of book work, I provide a link and a 6-week balance method to see the results. I’ll write an update every week, but I’ll also continue my regular workouts Turbo Jam, Hip Hop Hustle running, cycling, and ChaLean Extreme

Even though I’m a little short on yesterday’s Turbo Jam workout, my weight for today, week 1 of this experiment is 183.2 pounds. And as you can see from the previous paragraph, I am not working hard. My workouts are pretty intense. So why can’t I still move 180 pounds? And remember that I’m only 5’3 1/2″ tall, so there’s no reason for me to weigh this much.

Two years ago, in the fall of 2007 at 198 pounds, my doctor then told me that my body is becoming insulin resistant. they are incompatible I didn’t know what it was, so I tried to search it on the Internet. I haven’t had much luck looking for a definite definition outside of the connection with diabetes, so I thought I was out of luck.

So, I hit destination number 2 of my search, my local bookstore. That’s where I found the insulin resistance diet book. It seemed like a good read, and a unique book on the subject, so I decided to buy it. I read it and the information seemed credible, but I just bought the tracks.

I was so busy trying to lose extra weight before my next doctor’s appointment that I put the book down and didn’t He thought about it for a long time. I tried to lose weight by going to what I knew — running and lifting. But I didn’t just run, I ran a race every month from November 2007 to June 2008. Then I already ran 2 Weight Watchers. The efforts of NutriSystem. But it was never quite convenient or reasonable. I’ve been trying to be regular, but it’s very difficult in my busy home. I’m not using that as an excuse, I’m just saying that sometimes I’m lazy.

During the time I did all these things, I also became an ACE certified personal trainer, so I think you’d know me completely What should I do? Well, not much!

Then, in April 2009 I became an Independent Beach Coach with Turbo Jam workout Books I had ordered six months earlier. I figured that the coach would definitely be better at lose weight.

But when Turbo is intense, it still does not guaranteed to lose weight. It must be like my diet, but I didn’t know what. Sometimes I didn’t eat enough, sometimes my blood blood sugar is really low not having a diagnosis if diabetes.

This is when insulin resistance was found in the diet book. Figured after I tried everything, going back to this book could only help. So that’s where I am now.

I may cover the basics of insulin resistance in another article, but here is my diet for week 1;

burning fat by joining. This happens when you combine carbohydrates with a macro protein source. Doing this will keep you full and help keep your insulin steady. The book says, “The combination works best if you eat protein by itself, before or after carbohydrates. If that’s not possible, you can eat some protein right after your carbs.” p.

So this week is really. All I have to do is follow the lean protein list on pages 28 and 29 and eat the rule above all the time.

It sounds simple, but some things are easier said and done. I will keep you posted. Let weight loss begin!
