When I bought my first house, I was really excited about getting to paint the walls any color other than the standard ‘house’ white I’ve lived in for years. My dream was a Tuscan vineyard themed kitchen. I saw woven walls, looking at rustic fixtures, lots of warm colors. From the living room to the house, I carried Tuscan themed decorations. All these old brass looked cheap against the white painted walls. Finally, let’s go! I thought it would be an easy way to choose paint. I like to think that as an expressive, creative person, it can be so difficult to choose colors? I saw it already. I also had a collection of pictures pulled out of my notebooks. I started to feel a little intimidated in the process of choosing paint colors, so I grabbed a bunch of colored paper. A big thick pile of yellow paint sample papers, another pile of rustic looking reds, tans, browns, well, really any and all available interior paint color card. I also caught some faux painting techniques. My pocketbook was heavy when I left the home improvement store without making a purchase. It increased my anxiety. I felt guilty, as if I had taken too many samples.
I went home and sorted through my huge collection of painting samples. I placed them in living room on the floor. I soon realized that the vision I had was really a process of two or three colors faux painting. But what paint colors did they correspond to? I also realized that I can’t have a rustic view of the kitchen that is open to the living room. purple because I loved it on paper. My house looked like a box of crayons. This was going to be easy. I need help!

I wish you knew that you can choose interior colors from previous colors! This came in handy to get the ‘flow’ of colors I wanted to use from room to room. He could have a Tuscan country themed kitchen and a “purple color in the living room. He just had to paint the right shade.
Sherwin Williams offers a free online interior paint Color Visualizer. They have 1400 color options and color schemes arrays. Sherwin Williams has an entire section of their website dedicated to Sherwin Williams Interior Paints. They offer various services to help when choosing interior paint colors, Color 101, Color Go, Color Mix 2007 and Prime System.
Behr.com offers its free Explore Color service. The Smart Color system is free, but Behr also has a service for $4.95 a year that will paint your room. This is a unique service that allows you to upload pictures of your rooms to see how the colors on your walls will allow you to paint. >! Behr Interior Paints also offers samples.
The Glidden.Com website also offers a selection of internal color schemes. They have a variety of color options, tips and articles. Colors have color palette, Color Consultant, Color Visualizer, Color Test, and Color Team to help choose colors.
