“Sid the Science Kid” Themed Party Favors for Children

Are your children watching the television show, “Be the Science Kid?” Are they trying to carry out their science experiments at home? If so, you might want to give some thought to hosting a “Be a Science Kid” themed party this year. In my experience, there are many things that could be used with such a theme. Here, in passing, see a few of them;

“Hed Science Kid” Temporary Tattoos

I think “Sid the Science Kid” Tattoos make ideal temporary, bow party favors for kids. Most of them that are known to me are full figures and features of Sid’s face. Typically you can buy tattoos an 8-piece packagetemporary file from the PBS website for $3. Because temporary tattoos are usually small, I recommend that you give each child two tattoos.

Magnifying glass

Your guests will also undoubtedly appreciate receiving their own magnifying glasses. Most of the party supplies and vendors act as sellers of magnified cases for a small fee. The colors and types of magnifying glasses will vary. Some have long handles and are made of clear plastic. Others have short handles and are made of painted plastic. One seller that sells different magnification glasses is Oriental Trading. On average, a case of size 144 magnifying glasses would cost you $11.

Bug Tongs

I found the Bug Tongs also make wonderful “Be the Science Kid” themed gifts. After all, one of the shows focused on bugs. The tweezers I am familiar with are plastic and look like scissors. The only difference is that the business end of the scissors is equipped with a clear plastic ball. In this way the kids safely can catch bugs with the help of balls. The ball is also equipped with air holes. So, don’t worry about the bugs that the kids are examining.

Tornado Tubes

During the show, Sio also mentions the weather. Here’s why you might want to give your guests a weather-related gift. Personally, I recommend that you consider getting a case from Pollucius Tubes. They are designed to teach children how a tornado is formed. Each kit tends to sell for $3 through its own retailers. One store that sells Turbo Tubes is Consumer Lobby.

“Be the Science Kid” Edibles

Or would you rather give your guests a tasty treat? So why not consider using candy as part of a party activity. Examples include taffy, rock candy, fudge and peanut brittle. If you’ve never done a treat before, there are plenty of resources online. If you don’t want to use candy in a party activity, there are other options. First of all, you can buy things like gummy bugs and gummy worms instead. Each is often available for purchase by candy handlers for a small fee.
