So you want to buy a puppy, but you don’t know what to expect? You don’t know how to care for her, or give her what she needs. I will tell you what to expect, how to prepare a new puppy, and what you need.
what to expect:
1. Most puppies are really shy when you first get them and run away from you.
2. Your puppy should be placed in the litter box when you get home. Make sure he goes to the bathroom; if she doesn’t use litter then you need to close it up.
3. Kittens are very playful and will run all around your house. Puppies also scratch your furniture, and some even climb curtains.
4. Puppies are not puppies. If the puppy / kitten has an accident in the house from somewhere else, then its litter-box, then it will continue. but it’s a litter box to go here. This could cause a lot of problems.
5. All puppy teeth. While your puppy is teething, he is biting you; this bite should be playful or chew on your hand, but if it bites you aggressively then it is likely to be a mean cat. You can try to fix the biting behavior of the kitten by throwing it in the nose and saying nothing, but most cats like that and do not listen to you.
What to buy before your kitten buys:
1. A bowl of water
2. A food dish
3. Kitten food. Don’t buy cat food though because it’s too big for a kitten to chew.
4. Cat toys
5. Cat hair
6. a little box
7. Cat litter
8. Pooper-scooper
9. Puppy collar
10. And tags for the collar with your name and phone number on it.
Why do they need my name and phone number on those tags? Because if your puppy/cat is lost, then people can report it to you using the information you provided on the tags. It is very important that you tag your kitten’s collar.
What to do before you bring home a new puppy:
1. Everything must be set up as follows: Litter box with litter in it, food dish with food and water in water .
2. Make sure that no electrical appliances are placed where the puppy can gnaw them.
3. Make sure there are no pieces of plastic, foil, paper, or anything else that could be a choking hazard, down where the puppy can eat it.
4. No other care should go down where your puppy can get them: hamsters, mice, rats, fish, gerbils, rabbits, snakes, frogs, lizards, objects… Your puppy will think these are toys, and end up getting a little bit. or to kill other pets.
I think we covered all the basics. Now it’s up to you whether you still want a puppy or not. A kitten/cat can live up to 20 years old, so make sure you can or want to feed the cat for that long. Now think of something else, do you want to trigger more then? cats tend to fight when new cats are brought into the house. It is preferable to have as many kittens/cats from the same litter and roughly the same age.
Good luck with your new puppy/cat!
