If you have kids who are just learning to print letters or maybe older children are learning cursive letters, then the “wonderful handwriting worksheet” at handwritingworksheets.com http://www.handwritingworksheets.com/index.htm
the site is for you!
This site offers practice sheets on “first line”, “D’Nealian Style”, and “Cursive” writing and in all three of these types you can also choose “dot trace”, “trace” or “separate letters” in two different sizes, large and medium for the use of the sheet. Once you’ve chosen the type of worksheet you want to use (we’ve tested it for print use) http://www.handwritingworksheets.com/index.htm, you’ll be taken to a page that’s simply called, Is it a “handwriting worksheet”.
On this page you will see an area where you would like to put the words for printing practice. I recommend leaving 2 spaces between words to give your writer plenty of room, but as you work with the site, you’ll be sure to find what works best for you and your child.
We have used this site for many years, using it not only as a starting point for writing, but also for spelling words. Writing the spelling words on 2 to 3 sheets each week and then copying them out as many times as needed cuts down on time instantly and leaves more time to help your child in other areas that you wouldn’t have had time for unless you handwritten each word. you are your own child. And kids love the idea that they can create quilts with their name, family, friends and peers names. .even their teachers!
We highly recommend this site for those looking for a quick and easy way to help their child’s writing skills. While each page will be limited to a number of words, lifesaver when it comes to showing proper letter formation and a lot of fun when you think of all the words your child can learn using this site. I requested a weekly spelling bee every Monday and printed it out using these pages. He was not only careful to see the words every day, but to allow his handwriting to write the words. Give it a look and see how fun it can be to create your own autograph sheets…..and I was reminded, I used to print these out and take them when we went out to eat. They were great ways to use and keep my son occupied until the food arrived at our table and provided a painless way for him to practice his spelling words and writing. It’s a fantastic site and a real help for parents and fun for kids too!
