Your Pregnancy Hospital Checklist

When you have a baby ready, a million thoughts run through your mind. A hospital bag is not usually one of them. Mothers who remember to make hospital bags at home usually pack as they go on vacation. Having your hospital bag well packed and packed for a new mother is very important. You’ll pick up this apple a month or so ahead of time so that when it’s time to have your little one, you’ll be ready to grab it and go. You’ll also want to leave it in the back of the car so you don’t forget it when it’s time to go to the hospital. I’ve created a list of things you should pack in your hospital bag for you and your new baby.

First of all, you have one of your birth plans filled out. These could include any information or specific birth-plans that you want your doctors, nurses or midwife to be aware of. This is organized and clearly written so that you have it ready when you need it. Next, bring something to your head. You are usually asked not to drink or eat on your job. It is usually limited to ice chips and during your contractions, your lips become very dry and sore. It’s a great idea to keep your lips from drying out too much. Pack some snacks and drinks. The waiting process can be long, so you should have something to yourself and enjoy your man while you wait. Clothing is the next step. You and your baby will need to go home with a vest. You’ll also want to pack some sweat pants and t-shirts if you want to avoid hospital gowns for the couple of days you have to stay. And don’t forget to pay something to match your pregnancy weight. Socks and socks are also a must. Those hospital tables can get pretty chilly!

Next they pack the camera. You defiantly want to capture your newborn on film in those first moments and days. Pack extra film if you think you need it and extra batteries. Take away your privacy. Next, pack the nursing bras and pads. When your milk comes in, she’s going to be pregnant. Additional items outside of your bag such as magazines, books and music should also be something to consider. When you sit in the hospital room for a few days, you can get bored between your visits and the newborn. sleeping The most important thing to bring to the hospital is an infant seat. Don’t forget that you can’t bring your newborn home without it!

Of course, every hotel is different and offers you different things, but it’s always nice to have these on hand so you can take them if you want. You want to enjoy those days as much as possible because they really are a one-time event. Use your new baby!
