Dirty Devil Kone VS. Dirt Devil Quick Power Hand Vac

I’ve always had Buster’s dust. But when my last one died last month, and I had to replace it, I found that hand vacuums have changed a lot since our last purchase. We shopped, we bought, we talked to the sellers, we tried the products. We finally narrowed my design down to the Dirt Devil Kone vac, and the Dist Devil Quick Power Hand vac.

However, since I needed one for my office as well as one for my home, we decided to buy both and try them out.

First, let me say that I love the new Kone vacs. Unfortunately, it has more to do with fashionable design cute, fun, than with effect. It comes in 5 colors: blue, pink, light white, champagne, and the person’s favorite, plum. I bought a plum colored one and now it’s sitting on my desk in my office, looking like a new piece of decor. Unless you take it apart, you don’t see the void, and some of my coworkers still ask… What is this?

The average price of Kone is 42.99. It is small, has a small dirt cup that is easily removed, and a reusable filter. The base of the cone is a plate and the top lifts and becomes empty by hand. It’s a small, red indicator light that shows when its fully charged and ready to go. The whole machine is about 18 inches tall. It also has a protective piece on the end of the hill that keeps delicate surfaces from scratching, like the top of my desk.

Mud Devil offers you a 3 year warranty that covers the machine and parts.

This is where Kone’s love stops. While the Dirt Devil claims that it’s ergonomically designed to be easy to use, it clearly doesn’t take into account the size of the consumer’s hand. I have small hands, and the cone shape holds me awkwardly. It also weighs about 2 pounds, so it easily slips out of my hand for use. It is quite louder than the Quick Vac power, although it has less power.

My biggest complaint is the suction. The Kone only has 7.2 volts and won’t pick up anything heavier or heavier. It has an exhaust system that breathes on the sides and if you have a small amount, it will disperse them to take longer to clean.

The Quick Power, also backed by a 3-year warranty, only comes in the Dirt Devil red version. My favorite feature of this suction device is that you can mount it on a wall or behind a door, out of the way. As long as you have access to a power outlet, you can put it anywhere.

It has a whopping 9.6 volts, and that’s not much to expect. It has a handle that is tight around and can be easily maneuvered under furniture. It weighs about a pound and a half and is only 16 inches long.

Two features that make this machine unique is the quick flip tool that allows you to clean everything like a window on the seats the top post of the table and between the sofa cushions. It also has a retractable brush that is wonderful for cleaning vents, electrical outlets or surfaces that can easily be scratched or damaged.

Prices for Dirt Devil Quick Power Hand Vac. Average around $39.99.

If you’re like me, you don’t want to pull out a full-sized, heavy vacuum every time you need to clean up a little mess. So, these hand-tested rechargeable devices are the most family essentials for those mobile businesses.

If I had to do it again, I would buy a couple of quick power vacuums. Kone vacs are just not worth the money you pay for them.
