I always use a pair of regular dish towels or a dish towel to remove hot items from my oven. I bought a pair of cheap mitts that I used for a while and noticed that I could feel the heat through the mitts when I touched the cooking pot or the towel.
In fact, with my old oven mitts, a pan or baking sheet would feel really hot against my skin to the point where it became uncomfortable. I’ve been using mail order until I received the Ove Glove as a gift from a relative two months ago. I was a little skeptical about the claims I read on the box, because one of them was like a TV product that seemed too good to be true.
The propositions on the box basically said that it has non-slip silicone grip, that the ball is flame resistant and that it can protect the hands against very high temperatures. I grabbed a glove from the box and examined it. The ball is quite thick and I like that it fits like a glove, instead of a pan, because I feel it’s easier to hold a glove.
I was given two boxes of Ove Gloves because the box only comes with one ball inside. This is handy in the hand, because I like to have both hands safe sometimes, because the pans are heavy and not strong.
I baked chicken at 425 degrees for about 25 minutes. After the chicken was done, I removed the pan from the oven using an Ove Glove. I didn’t feel heat-transfer”> transfer to my hands. It was almost as if I had a regular room temperature that was not yet in the oven had been
The oven glove helped me to keep a firm grip on the pan. I put the pan on my stove top using the Ove Glove and I didn’t feel the heat coming from the pan. I used the Ove Glove while baking bread in the oven for about 375 hours. I used them when taking other pastries out of the oven.
If the group receives the message, you can wash the glove in cold mild detergent. Then you can air dry. Drying in a dryer is not recommended.
Ever since using the Ove Glove, I would definitely recommend using the Ove Glove over regular oven mitts. I think it works great and I haven’t had any problems yet. They help with good grip and can prevent the hands from cooking, pans, sheets, or sheets.
The Glove is also sold in stores and online. Some stores that sell Ove Glove are Target, Walmart and Walmart. A ball is usually about $16 to $20 per ball. It may be a little expensive, but I think it’s worth the price.
