For three years ago I made and sold earrings and necklaces, and one of my biggest frustrations was not being able to find cute, well-made gold jewelry and beads (like link necklaces, small beads, crimp beads, jump rings, etc. .)
I once found a piece called The Gold of Elegance, sold at both my Michael’s and JoAnn’s craft stores. The line makes both sterling silver and 14K gold plated making findings, and they say that gold is elegance. the best quality 14K gold plate beads and parts for finer artistic designs.
Description
There are many brands using gold buttons these days, but not all are created equal. My Gold Elegance package tells me a little about the Gold Plate Rope Toggle Clasp that I recently purchased and used. It says the clasp is made of copper base with an average of 1.0 micron gold plates.
The line is packaged in a very unique way, and is a little different from other companies I’ve bought from. Each item is presented in blister packaging, tucked into a small plastic cup. Sitting in the groove at the bottom of this cup are the “round” and “bar” parts of my cable toggle clasp. They are safe and do not interfere with the package, assuring me that I can see exactly what I am receiving, and I guarantee that I will not cut off the gold.
Around the plastic cup is a lot of thin gold colored paper with cardboard hanging on top. All Gold and Silver Findings and jewelry come packaged in the same way, and the cardboard boxes all measure 2 3/4″ by 3 3/4″.
Variety
I love gold for its elegance, quality and uniqueness! Their toggle clasps come in a variety of shapes and sizes, from rope to heart-shaped designs. If you prefer to keep the traditional tray, these are also available. Their “S” includes the most beautiful and presentable for all jewelry designs items.

My thoughts
I love the gold line! Cousins Corporation of America is located in Largo, Florida. Although they are more successful, they combine beautifully and have a lasting shine, and their appeal quickly disappears with cheap and found beads.
Prices are cheaper at Joanns.com than they are at brick and mortar JoAnn stores, but then you have to pay shipping. when you buy online, it happens like this. I priced my toggle rings yesterday at both Michaels and JoAnn’s, and Michaels was $4.99 while it was only $3.99 at Joann’s. Joanns.com sells it for $2.99.
The packages do not contain a large amount of balls. The 6mm embossed balls come in a pack of five for the same price. I found all the fine gold product packages at the same price (in each store). At Michael’s they are all $4.99.
I give my Michael and Joann’s 40% off coupons on these beautiful jewelry making finds, and it helps keep my head down. I wish the beads were larger in even sizes, when they put an odd number of beads like 5 in one package, I always have leftover earrings.
I get a lot of compliments on my rings and earrings since they are from the Gold Elegance line! I can’t afford the high cost of real 14K gold, but the Elegant Gold line is the next best thing. It allows me to make ornaments elegantly, with the true appearance of gold.
