The old time 27″ LED (90 lb) TV in a small room led to the search for an HDTV that would provide an incredible picture better than we were enjoying on our main television then, while keeping the price as much as possible. Can you find a quality HDTV in full 1080p, around $230? Good luck. The answer turned out to be yes.
The full image of HDTV is so clear that it is difficult to resist the cinematic experience of a big screen theater. However, in a living room only 8′ X 10″ where it looked 5′ or less in the distance. A 25″ desk seemed to be more than adequate and I am happy to report that it was and is.
The very standard itself is a rather standard looking LCD TV in a small stand with a jet black glossy bezel surrounding the screen with an actual area of 24.6″ diagonal of course. It is non-standard that in the reverse

Of course, it also has its own built-in tuner, so when the DVR is connected to two built-in tuners, you can watch one program while recording two others. There are not many electronic accessories that cannot be connected to this HANNspree LCD TV.
It is also worth noting that this HANNspree 25″ LCD HDSTV is fully Energy Star compliant and is both PC and MAC compatible. It can sit on its own stand or be mounted on any standard wall mount.
The two most common complaints about HDTVs are about 1) Picture quality, especially regarding the level of blackness on the screen and shadows following fast movements on the screen, and 2) the level of difficulty in performing initial setup and connections.
In the first floor, the picture is clear and pure. The blacks are really black and the available control/adjustment features via the onscreen remote allow viewers to adjust everything (hue, sharpness, intensity, etc) to their preferences. Bringing my eyes to within a few inches of the screen, images from both HDTV broadcasts and DVDs (both regular and Blue Ray) appeared flawless and pixel-free, visibly broken or missing. The four watchmen carefully observe and see no shadowing or obtuse images on the screen after the speed. The colors are vivid and vital.
The sound is much better than I expected from the small built in speakers and it is completely satisfying.
During the set period I found that I was looking for channels that we receive via cable converter box does not work. The concierge through COSTCO service provider was able to walk me through the success in a short time. They instructed me to connect the cable directly to the Cable-In on the TV to program the channels, then to transfer the cable to the converter box.
No other appointment came up and it was complete within about half an hour – Most of that time was spent on the channels on the set. This worked perfectly for each and every station. The program channels have also recently been black-drawn.
My 800 year old niece was able to figure out the remote within minutes, although she used it, with Comcast, finally with the company’s cable remote, because Comcast does not have a working code but for this new Model ST259MUB.
Don’t sweat. Cable box on with cable remote, the HANNspree remote for all others.
We are very happy with this second family TV set. It actually looks bigger image wise than the 27″ LED put it restored and like the windows are behind it there is no glare whatever.
For the price it compares more than favorably with many major brands we’ve compared including Samsung, Viseo, Toshiba and Sony. A nice TV for a nice price. Thoughtfully designed, energy efficient, perfect for a small room, easy to use, and great picture at a reasonable price. What can consume more hope?
