Glade Wisp Flame Candle is the latest addition to the Glade family of home fragrances. It is an enhancement to a product they already had, called the Glade Wisp. A flameless candle flameless glows the same as the original Glade Wisp uses.
What is it?
A flame candle is just that, the appearance of a flickering flame and the smell of melting, scented wax. The starter kit comes in a lucky glass holder filled with scented oil and 2 AA batteries, needed to make an air freshener release the smell and ignite.
How well does it work?
Just click on the top of the unit to make it “flicker”. It will stay on for 3 hours before closing. Whether it is exposed to flames or not, it still emits an odor. You can adjust the strength of the scent with the dial located on the bottom of the unit. You can choose from 5 settings. I have it sitting in my bookcase in the living room, and the way the light vibrates; in fact it looks like a lamp in a candle holder. My house smells great when I even walk in the door.
How long does it last?
As stated on the packaging, the batteries will keep the lamp burning and the scent flowing for 30 days, as long as you leave the chips on for a maximum of 3 hours a day. If you keep the strength low, the scent of the oil will last up to 45 days, and at high it will last 21 days.
What do you use this for?
Glade Wisp Candle Flames can be used anywhere you would normally use candles, and even places where a conventional candle would be too dangerous. This includes the bookshelf.
How much does it cost?
Theses are not the latest in the market. The starter kit costs $9.99 and refills are $3.49. Several times in the local Sunday paper, a coupon for $3.00 off the initial kiter and $1.00 off refills can be found. Also, the starter kit has coupons for refills inside (at least the one I bought did).
Where can you find these?
These can be found anywhere you would normally find Glade products, such as Target, Wal-mart, Kmart, Walgreens and CVS.
What fragrances are available?
Glade Wisp Candle The candle comes in 6 different scents: Clean Linen, Cinnamon Lake, French Vanilla, Rainshower, Hawaiian Breeze and Oasis Orchid. Starter kits only come in Clean Linen and French Vanilla.
A few other great points about this product is that it comes in recyclable packaging. It is enclosed in a clear, hard plastic. Cardboard instructions are also recyclable. Each kit also comes with scratch and a sticker on it so you can preview the scent before you buy it.
Overall, I enjoy this product and continue to buy refills for it when it runs low. I don’t think it’s worth ten bucks, but if you have a coupon and find this product on sale, then I think it’s a good buy. I like how there are 6 different scents to choose from as well.
