Valentine’s Day came and went and I surprised my wife with a couple of nice romantic gifts (a necklace and some flowers). But I’m also the type of person who likes to buy something useful for his family, so that they get a little more use out of it. In one particular case, even my wife always ended up buying Lazy loungewear.
Yes, I know this is not the type of gift you would normally expect someone to buy on a romantic holiday. . But it’s still winter and my wife (who can catch a cold even when it’s 90 degrees outside) is always complaining about the cold. It can usually be quite warm in bed. But when he has to get something up, he gets cold again. So when I saw this work on TV, I thought it was perfect for him.
I was a bit skeptical about the $30 price tag I saw on the internet site to end shopping and this product for just $15 He found it at our local Wal-mart and even though it only had it in blue, he decided to buy it. As intended, I gave it to him on Valentines Day (hesitating for a while, drawing a reaction that made me gladly buy another him as with him) and now that he has the opportunity to use it two times, my opinion is mixed.
As far as its heat goes, I think this product lives up to its promise. The material is similar to what you would find in a light layer. And, unlike some things that stand out there, wearing a gallery dress makes it easier to move it around.
I personally thought the rattle motor (for using the bathroom) was a nice touch. But, as my wife pointed out, it was not at all practical what she usually wears under that dress. Plus, even though I picked the correct size using the chart on the back, it seems a bit bulky to the point as if it would be lost in it and I could have gone a size smaller.
In terms of appearance, this product leaves a lot to be desired. My wife can do some good (and I’m not just saying what she’s reading in hopes) but this honestly poses a challenge for her. As he describes it, the blue color makes him look like the character Grover from Sesame-Street and I’m not sure if it’s a different color (like pink) it had made a lot of difference. That is, although she will wear it around the house, I doubt you will wear it if someone happens to look at her in it.
Would I recommend this product? Overall, I think I say yes. But I wouldn’t recommend the price for it and, if I hadn’t known then what I know now, I wouldn’t have bought this “romantic” gift.
