Review: Eagle One A2Z Wheel and Tire Cleaner

We see, its spring again, and we all know what this means! Uh-huh, time to explain &$*%@&* cars again. My back isn’t what it used to be, so I figured I make extra money Auto Zone and they were running a 2 for 1 special on all Eagle products; so I grabbed two aerosol cans of Eagle One A2Z and drove home to clean all the Wheel and Tires and spent the next several hours trying to make our car look new again.

The concept of the Eagle One Wheel and Tire Cleaner is pretty basic; just sprinkle him, and the boot is gone. When I was getting ready to go to the wash, the instructions told me to use this material on the wheels dry and cold, which caused the actual washing of our Eclipse to be delayed for half an hour. When the wheels are cool enough to touch, the first wheel should be liberally sprayed with the material (only in a well-ventilated area, although the smoke may not be as much as you might think!) and it is seated and placed. foam up to 30 seconds.

and the boy foams! First you will see the white foam that has sunk into the brown miter, as if you are cleaning the oven! It is very strong, but it claims to be safe for all types of finishes, such as mag, alloy, aluminum, chrome, and paint cleaner (like the wheels on both my cars). One word, though; it will kill your grass and stain your driveway, so choose your washer wisely (my driveway is blacktop, so it doesn’t matter much to me).

Other bomb instructions were slipped into me so that you can only clean one wheel at a time and dry immediately after it. is washed Apparently the Eagle One Tire and Wheel Wash is more powerful, and will leave stains all over your 22″ wheel, if not soaked with a cloth. For super dirty (as in, like 2 season’s worth of crushed powder), you’ll have to scrub them anyway /tag/car-wash “>wash your ra!

The good news is that it does a good job! Much better than Aurora or Master Clean on wheels, anyway. The foam keeps its promise of crushing dust and other dirt from the road. I thoroughly wiped down the wheels of our Eclipse with a washcloth, making sure to dilute all the grime. Immediately after washing the first wheel with a high water pressure stream, I dried it completely. towel (don’t use good towels for this….DUH!)

I have to say, I was impressed when I went to review my work! The wheel was spot free, and the first thing I noticed were the yootful silver bees from the base. Oh, yeah, GOOD look at those wheels! It only took 15 minutes (remember, they were nasty!); one should go down, three would go!

As the accompanying picture shows, the Eagle One A2Z All Wheel and Tire Cleaner is a pretty good product, although, as one might expect, it doesn’t perform like an “impossible-for-the-consumer-to-find” professional auto-detailing products. Its strengths are based on the most appropriate shower (with no CFC), foam action that cleans more aggressively, and it lives up to its promise that it will not harm the finish of the wheels that has been clear.

The negatives include not being able to rinse dry with water (it will leave stains that are impossible to remove), only one wheel at a time (to prevent the aforementioned stain), and additional scrubbing of heavily soiled wheels. Remember, spring cleaning is the most difficult, and the Eagle One A2Z All Wheel and Tire Trimmer will not get your wheels clean (only) as long as they are not too dirty.

I don’t regret buying them. It does a good job, but all it teaches us is yet another lesson about the fabric of the workers in the title of the products. He did what he set out to do, but it required a lot more work than he believed.
