Holiday Lights at Wild Lights Zoo in Denver

Every year the Denver Zoo changes from a quiet, peaceful place for animals to a spectacular display of holiday lights and fun. If your time is limited and you have nothing else to do in Denver this holiday season, you must visit the Wild Lights at the Denver Zoo.

About the lights at Denver Zoo
Your family will enjoy seeing over 150 other animated animals at Denver Zoo Wild’s annual holiday light display. Lights. You will be tricked by holiday lights showing monkeys leaning in trees, elephants having a water fight, frogs leaping from a lily pad, like a lily pad , and more.

The Denver Zoo Wild Lights holiday display transforms 38 acres of the Denver Zoo, chuck full of fun and family friendly Activities for you to enjoy.

Even Santa Claus made special arrangements to come see the Wild Lights at the Denver Zoo! Santa will be at the North Pole Zoo along with
specially carved ice sculptures. Of course, nobody wants Father Christmas to be late for the big event, so the last day the Zoo Lights were shown was December 23. Then leaving to complete the last minute preparations for Christmas.

Christmas carolers fill the air, and you can hum or sing along.

Food & Drinks at Wild Lights at the Denver Zoo
Don’t fear the cold night air, either. There are plenty of places to stop and warm up while visiting the Denver Zoo. Chestnut huts sell hot cocoa (hmm, that sounds like a song), hot cocoa, cotton candy; soft deceptions, and other things that delight the faithful. Adults can also enjoy their favorite spirits with a hot drink.

The polar bears and sea lions seem to be always on the lookout, and easy to attract crowds to watch them.

Special activities in the Wild Lights at the Denver Zoo
For a special time, visit the Zoo for New Years Eve. This is a special event when the Wild Lights at Denver Tavern transforms into a family-friendly New Eve celebration.

Or come December 14 – 23 and be treated to Wild Ice at Wild Lights at the Denver Zoo. That’s my mouth! Enjoy a spectacular view of the ice sculptures found in the garden and see the fire dancers who perform every night.

If you would like to visit on your own to celebrate Kwanzaa, come on December 26-30. This festival celebrates African American culture including dance, music, and education.

Admission prices for Wild Lights in Denver Tickets:
Prices are affordable for all families.
Children under 3 years are free
Children 3 to 11 only $4
Children over 11 & youths $8 each.
If you bring a non-perishable food donation, that is, a possible food item, you will get $1 off your Denver Ticket entry fee.
