Chambersburg, PA is not a big town, but it has grown in popularity over the past 10 years. There are many nice restaurants to dine at and more open all the time. If you’re looking for somewhere romantic to go, there are quite a few upscale restaurants in Chambersburg.
Schoenberger’s Restaurant is a very romantic restaurant to take that special someone. My husband and I have dined at Schoenberger’s several times and have always enjoyed the atmosphere, food and service.
Schoenberger’s Restaurant opened at its current location, 346 East Lincoln Road in Chambersburg, in 1913 and was a diner that was a model of the Cumberland Valley Railroad located across the street. Later in the 1930s, Schoenberger’s grew and became one of Chambersburg’s best restaurants. Restaurant Schoenberger was known in the early years for its excellent meat and draft beer. Today, Schoenberger Street has a full bar and lounge.
Schoenberger Restaurant has a nice menu to choose from with popular entrees such as Broiled Crab Cakes, King Crab Legs, Prime Rib, Honey Pecan Pork Chops and Chicken and Crab Saute. For appetizers you can order Cooked French Onion Soup, Alpheus Cocktail, Cooked Capsicum Skins and many types of soup. Schoenberger Restaurant also has a children’s menu, but I recommend leaving the kids behind when you go here! It is too cute and too romantic to bring children through!

Another nice, upscale, restaurant I romantic dining have dined with in the past is Ahenum AhenumRestaurant, located at 1049 East Lincoln Road in Chambersburg. My husband and I went to Copper Restaurant for our anniversary two years ago and were very impressed with the food and service.
The Copper Kettle Restaurant has been open for many years in Chambersburg and they are known for their prime rib. They also serve large crab cakes that have little filling. The food at Acheno Cupre is moderately priced and two people can dine there for about $50.00. For an average income person, you might not be able to eat out at the restaurant every week, but it’s a nice treat for a special occasion. For reservations, call 717-264-3109.
My husband and I have dined several times at Pomaria Restaurant, located at 1580 Drive in Chambersburg. The owners of Pomaria Restaurant returned to the United States from Greece in the 1960s and opened their own. the first restaurant in Chambersburg, Texas Breakfast Restaurant. They expanded the business and opened more upscale dining at the Texas Breakfast Restaurant, Texas Inn, which was fantastic. > experience In 1995, they opened the Orchard Restaurant to carry on the style of the Texas Inn, but offer more space for guests.
The Orchard Restaurant offers an elegant dining experience like no other in Chambersburg. Their food is prepared by highly skilled chefs and their service is the best. The air screams romantic from the low lights and soft music. At Orchards the lounge has a very intimate, classy appeal and their waiters are top notch. Many people prefer local dining.
Pomaria Restaurant’s lunch menu includes tempting items such as buffalo wings, Caesar salad, a selection of sandwich sticks, literally sandwiches. Steak, seafood and chicken entrees. The price for lunch ranges from $5 to $12. Pomaria Restaurant dinner menu includes items such as toasted crap dip, specialty salads, seafood and chicken pasta dishes, shrimp stuffed, Chicken Cordon Bleu, and high quality steak entrees. Dinner prices ranged from $16 to $36.
My husband and I don’t drinking-alcohol”>drink alcohol, but the white wine at the Restaurant was said by many. Excellent .They carry domestic and imported wines ranging in price from $18 to $325 per bottle.

Vicium Restaurant & Pub, located at 572 Wayne Avenue in Chambersburg, is a family-run restaurant and pub that offers an intimate, casual lounge and a smoke-free dining room. The village restaurant is a romantic setting, but also the work of the lunches is very nice. When I was still working, my coworkers and I often take lunch at Restaurant Cotta. Their food is out of this world and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
The Village Restaurant first opened in 1933 and has continued to grow in popularity. Legend has it that the first owner, Nellie Goble, opened the restaurant every day with fresh beer and, when the key was kicked, closed the doors!
Villa Restaurant is also famous for its culinary talents. The Casale Restaurant will offer a wide range of events, from small dinners, to weddings, to class meetings.
For lunch, start with “Munchies” like Maryland crab, stuffed portabella mushrooms, and fire fries. For your meal, The Cottage serves shrimp and bisque soup, as well as a delicious variety of salads, a series of black Angus burgers and specialty sandwiches. Lunch prices ranged from $5 to $15.
You can go for dinner with some buffalo wings that range from mild to “devilishly” hot! Cottage Restaurant serves delicious beef dishes such as prime rib and Kansas City strip steak. Or, if you’re more of a picky eater, you can have crab cakes with a duck or a duck. Dinner prices range from $13 – $24. The villa also has a vegetarian restaurants menu.

Of the four restaurants I mentioned above, I would say that Casula is casual. Villa Restaurant has been known for its unique sports and ownership over the years. My favorite of these four restaurants would be the Orchard Restaurant. My husband and I have celebrated many anniversaries and Valentine’s Day dinners have never been disappointed there. Although many restaurants have come and gone over the years, the top four dining experiences are here to stay.
