MidWest Lined Leather Work Gloves

Here in Alaska, our summer weather has been very unseasonably cold. June is typically our nicest and warmest month of the year, but average temperatures have been in the 50’s. When it rains, which it does so much, the temperatures feel even colder.

Because of this I was really drawn to a pair of leather lined gloves that I found at my local Walmart store that were on sale in the gardening section. These MidWest Lined Leather Work Gloves were made from cowhide, and only come in one tan color. It was followed by soft leather, and the jacket is made from a pile of underactive material that resembles faux leather.

Gloves are used for “snow shoveling, construction, power, yard work, and other winter wear. It’s no wonder why these when others are available, thinner “top” work gloves! small, medium and large, and always for size wear small and I can tell the truth to size.

The MidWest Lined Leather Work Gloves are a little heavier than you’d expect from a summer glove, but if you need something heavier, these are the gloves to buy. We have several sections of our 2 acre yard that have red bushes, and we have a large area of wild rose bushes. If you know anything about rust and rose bushes, you know they are prickly, and you need more than that. think of a garden glove working with these types of plants. The MidWest Lined Leather Work Gloves work perfectly, they allow me some flexibility yet are thick enough to protect my hands from sharp thorns.

Even when the weather is rainy, windy and cold, the MidWest Linted Leather Work Gloves keep my hands dry, but these gloves are not completely water proof. That small problem can be solved by spraying them with a protective coating that is commonly used in leather boots, but it works this rain is resistant. If you arrive wet, they will stay wet, so some weather is a good idea, and this will make them much more versatile.

I’d say Midwest Lince Leather work gloves are the go-to for all seasons, at least when you live in a climate like Alaska. We just never know what kind of weather is going to be thrown at us, and these gloves are perfect for working in the garden on a colder day, working in the thorn bushes any day, and are warm enough for winter wear. These gloves are even warmer than some of our so called “winter gloves”. You can’t go wrong for the price. They are well made, very durable, and super cheap. What more do you want? Highly recommended.
