General Mills Golden Grahams: More Than Just a Breakfast Cereal!

Jerry Seinfeld isn’t the only person who thinks you can eat cereal at any time of the day or night. I have many favorites but Golden Grahams, Chocolate Count and Cookie Crisp rank at the top of the list. Of the three, Golden Grahams is the most versatile, and can be used to make a quick batch of faux S’mores!

Sometimes in a month the local grocery store puts most of them on sale; six boxes for ten dollars and they’ll get promos on them so they end up being about a dollar a box. That’s a complete steal when you check the regular prices on the bag. call me, but not just I pay four or five dollars for a box of meat; the exception would be Crackin Oat Bran.

A 3/4 cup serving of Golden Grahams has 120 calories (160 with half milk), 26 grams of carbohydrates (11 from sugar), 2 grams of protein and 1 gram of fat. Sure, it may be high in carbohydrates, but you have to remember that only 11 percent is sugar. I usually divide the cereal into bags and store it in a box; That way, if they ask, I’m not tempted to pull the teams out of the box to sit there.

the taste of sacrifice is sweet; they deny it in part with honey. He keeps rubbing the milk even when he eats it. It takes about ten minutes for a stunner; This is pretty heavy compared to other breakfast cereals. Is this food for kids? It has a lot of vitamins and minerals in it and is made from whole grains; The downside is the amount of sugar. If they only have a recommendation then chances are, the walls won’t come crashing down, but I don’t see many parents measuring the morning sacrifice.

You can use these instead of crackers for S’mores; Arrange the microwave plate on top of the cereal and add some mini talla to it. After about thirty seconds, add the chocolate chips to the top. You can also melt chocolate and pour over the mixture. Another fun thing to do is to add all the ingredients to the bowl and then stir it slowly so as not to break the cereal . Spoon it onto a cookie sheet with lined sheet and you have a very easy treat.

General Mills also participates in Boxtops For Educational programs. Cut out the official coupon in the box and send it to school with your child; each coupon is worth ten cents for a variety of school supplies. This is one of the many ways that General Mills gives back to the community. They also have a friendly hid site that promotes good eating habits and has fun games; you can check it out at www.millsberry.com
