Are you a sports fan? Do you see your kids playing school events and ending up sitting on the hard, cold bleachers? If you answered that question, I have an answer for you. My husband and I are big fans of the sport and we attend junior ice hockey games. it’s college age), but the arena has full-style seating, and the benches are made of metal.
What did they think stadium seating in metal in a cold ice hockey arena? It only took him attending one game to realize he needed to buy two portable seats. Not only were our ruffians very cold, but they were killing our rear without the support of a seat.
Our local Walmart store distributes sporting goods products from Ozark Trail, and we saw our Ozark Trail Portable seats at the end of the display aisle next to the sporting goods. I sold them for $18.00 each, which was a good buy. We used a similar style of seating before, but the back consisted of nylon fabric, and the clippers broke my husbands chair. Ozark Trail Portable Seats have looked different since the beginning and are superior in many ways.
Originally, Ozark Trail Portable seats were made with a solid metal frame covered in thicker cotton. The fabric is tightly fitted to the frame, and the top back seat tilts backwards making these even more comfortable. The seat pad is much thicker than the old pads, and neither of us got cold in the ice arena. .
There is an adjustable strap that connects the back to the bottom of the seat, and this allows us to fold the seat in half for transport, but keeps the back stable when we sit down. Under the seat there are two silver, metal clippers. These springs contain heavy duty, and then you fold and clip the seats on the edge of your sofa or other seats, and they hold the seats in place.
Finally, the Ozark Trail Portable Seats have a nice large organizer pocket. This is the same size as the seat, and connects with Velcro on the bottom of the seat. You only pull down your pocket, and hang straight from the throne, behind the legs. It has two pockets, a solid pocket and a smaller pocket, which is perfect for holding a water bottle.
Ozark Trail Portable Seats are built to hold a maximum of 225 pounds, and there is a risk of pinched toes if the clip-on seats are used incorrectly. The hang tag also states that the Ozark Trail Portable seats are intended to be used on a “flat surface and preferably at ground level.” I am sure this is stated to eliminate any litigious actions against them. I can see how someone could be injured if they were to use this seat for high speed riders, so I wouldn’t recommend this for children.
In comparison to our previous portable seats, also purchased at Walmart, the Ozark Trail portable seats are superior. I can sit through a three-hour hockey game without hurting my back, and they keep me out of the metal seats. In fact, these are fantastic prices.
