Now, to Make Back Pillow Slipcovers From Vintage Hawaiian Shirts You’ll Need:
1 – 2 Vintage Hawaiian Shirts
Matching Thread
Scissors
Pillow or new pillow insert
straight buckle
Now, I like to first simply turn my Vintage Hawaiian Shirt inside out. You want the good side facing in.
Now your pillows from the bottom of the shirt in the Vintage Hawaiian. Place it so that the sweater wraps it comfortably.
Now take your straight nails and outline the vintage Hawaiian shirts, making sure to nail the right lines. Leave the shirt buttoned.

Now sew the top and two sides with your sewing machine. I recommend starting at the bottom left and working my way to the right of the carapace.
Now, I also recommend sewing these Vintage Hawaiian shirts pillow slip cover with matching thread, you will probably be able to see the thread at some point, so pay close attention.
Now sew these sides at least two or three times. This cover will make your pillows stay together.
Now, cut off any loose thread and fold the three sides of the back of the shirt up to about three inches from the lines that were just sewn. No, don’t cut where it’s not sewn.
Now, Vintage Hawaii Shirt slipcover inside out. Place your pillow inside and sew it closed with a sewing machine or by hand. This is when you really need the thread adjusted so it doesn’t show as much.
They are usually finished.
If you want to weave some retro or Hawaiian ornaments on the pillow cover, I recommend using another piece of vintage Hawaiian shirt in a different color.
Cut a square from the fabric that is larger on each side than you want the three-inch boat.
Now, before you insert the pillow and sew the slipcover closed, you’ll want to place the vintage stitch fabric on the front of the fabric. Use chalk to outline your shape. Now, use a sewing machine to sew along the chalk line. It is necessary to mount the binding on the other side so that it is not necessary to spin through the pillow cover through the sides of the bows. It will save you if you do by inserting a pillow.
Now take your scissors and cut around the ½ to 1-inch shape line that you sewed on the outline of the palm tree or Hula girl shape.
Remove all the fabric then insert the pillow and sew it closed!
