Great Rosh Hashanah Dinner Recipes

Rosh Hashanah is Hebrew. It turns to ‘the beginning of the year’. It is the first day of a High Holiday. It is essentially the beginning of a new Jewish spiritual year. The day is counted for 162 days counting from the first day of Pesach, which is commonly called Passover. This gives a different time each year. It can be a one day event, or a two day event. In Reconstructionist and Reform Judaism only the first day is recognized, however in Orthodox Judaism and Conservative Judaism both days are observed.

On Rosh Hashanah, the holiday will be celebrated by blowing a trumpet, which is a trumpet made from a ram’s horn. The sound of this horn is to awaken the listener to judgment. Ros Hashanah is the holiday of repentance. In the afternoon of the first day the tashlikh is done. This practice is the loss of sins. It is a symbol and is made of bread crumbs in water or simple bread. It is believed that at this time God judges the good from the bad in the coming year. Those who are judged worthy are sealed in the book of life, but those who are judged bad have ten days to repent before the Lord Kippur so that they can be sealed in the book of life

These holidays are considered days of rest and the same rules that apply to the Sabbath are also prohibited on Rosh Hashanah. At this time the traditional greeting is always “Shana Tova” which simply translates to “Happy New Year”.

Food eaten on Rosh Hashanah is always Kosher. They always include honey and apples to signify a sweet new year.

Here are a couple of recipes to help you prepare your Rosh Hashanah dinner.

Roast Beef
A wonderful recipe for a fantastic spring Roast Beef

As comfortable as he needs basketball.

1) Five pounds of Kosher Roast Beef.
2) 1 Cup Soy Sauce
3) 1 cup of honey
3) Cut half of a large fresh union into pieces
4) 1 cup tightly packed brown sugar
5) 1 clove of garlic that you say and crush.
6) Peppers and radishes.

Place the pan in a large pan.

Preheat your oven to 350

Mix 1 Cup of Soy Sauce, 1 Cup of Honey, Onion Jam, 1 Cup of Brown Sugar, 1 Jam and Crushed Allium Caryophyllum, and Pepper Rats in a large mixing bowl. Once all this is mixed, roast it in a pan. Now cover the roast with a lid or foil. Place in the oven for about 3 hours.

I also used the same crockpot recipe. I mixed the roast and all the ingredients and simmered on high for eight hours, and then low for one hour. This tends to tenderize the roast by baking more then the oven but it absorbs most of the sauce. I also had two cups of water to add to the sauce. But there is another way to cook this meal.

Oven Baked Honey Chicken Breast

Here are the supplies you’ll need for this particularly amazing course.

1) 3 pounds skinless chicken breast
2) 1 1/2 cups of honey
3) 2 eggs at present
4) 1 cup Matzo meal
V) pepper spray
6) 1/2 cup of olive oil
7) 1 cup of water
8) 1/2 cup of orange juice
9) You make 1 cup of brown sugar

Preheat the oven to 325

Please roast chicken.

Mix 1 1 / 2 cups of honey, beaten eggs, 1 cup of Matzo flour, 1/2 cup of olives, 1 cup of water, the juice of 1/2 oranges, 1 cup of brown sugar, and a touch of pepper in a large mixing bowl. After the chicken is mixed, pour it over. Now cover the chicken with a lid or tin foil. Place in the oven and roast for 1 hour or until the chicken is done perfectly. Please be aware that the chicken will arrive during the cooking process.

These are two wonderful recipes for the main course of your Rosh Hashanah dinner. There will be one or two for sure. I have personally made both meals in the past with success. They were easy to create and turned out wonderfully.
