I remember first seeing Brad Pitt in the 1991 movie Thelma and Louise and thinking, oh gosh – who cloned Robert Redford? Brad Pitt really got his lucky break in this movie because William Baldwin was the first choice for J.D. he could have played, but Baldwin left the Backdraft to shoot. Brad Pitt’s first full-length film was filmed in the summer of 1988, but not released until 1997: The Dark Side of the Sun. The film was filmed in Yugoslavia but before the final edit, civil war broke out and all the footage was lost. Miraculously in 1996, someone found the footage and returned it to the director.
Little did I know that before Thelma and Louisa Brad Pitt had already appeared in two dozen other films and television shows such as Glory Days, Thirty Something, Adolescent Pains, No Way Out and Across the Footsteps. When Brad Pitt became a household name in 1991, women everywhere couldn’t get enough of the new eye candy in big concealment. In 1994, People Magazine named Brad Pitt the Sexiest Man Alive and from 1995, Brad Pitt was named one of the 100 sexiest stars in film by Empire magazine. Although Brad Pitt did not star in these films, Two Monkeys and Sleeper are among my films in which Brad Pitt played a supporting role.

River Runs (1992)
Directed by Robert Redford, Brad Pitt stars as Paul Maclean, the fond son of a black sheep fisherman, and younger brother to a perfect boy. This is my favorite Brad Pitt movie because of the beautiful scenes and the universal plot of intense sibling rivalry leading to family disaster but kept by the common family activity, flying fishing. I have seen this movie at least 12 times and I continue to be amazed at the perfect chemistry of the actors in this movie.
Fall Tales (1994)

A Native American character, One Stab, who lives with the family and collects all the family letters over the years. , he tells in Fall Tales. Brad Pitt stars as Tristan Ludlow in a family story with similar themes and beautiful settings to A River Runs Through It. Again, Brad Pitt plays a troubled son and brother who needs the world to make peace with him. . The family bond is soon tested when three sons go to war and fall in love with the same woman, played by the beautiful Julia Ormond. Of course I love Anthony Hopkins playing Brad Pitt’s father, Colonel William Ludlow. I have also seen this movie at least a dozen times. The spiritual aspect of family bonds despite life trying to tear them apart is a strong theme in this movie. The influence of Native American was so deeply inspired that I hold it again as a major.
Se7en (1995)
Brad Pitt stars as Detective David Mills alongside Morgan Freeman and Gwyneth Paltrow. Although I don’t usually watch movies about serial killers, I got to see Brad Pitt in action roles other than his son and brother. For me, this was the true test of whether Brad Pitt was a super star actor. Wow, that’s great from Brad Pitt. See the killer kills seven people using the Seven Sins. What’s really amazing about the seventh number is that Brad Pitt was paid $7 million for this movie, he had been in seven movies where Brad Pitt played the title character, and as luck would have it, Denzel Washington landed the role. Detective Mills before Brad Pitt got the part. The movie wasn’t all good luck for Pitt, though. During filming, Brad Pitt fell and broke his arm, requiring surgery.
AffairJesse James Coward Robert Ford (2007)
When I first heard about this movie, I thought how someone in Hollywood could pick a long title so that most people wouldn’t remember to chat about it. I also wondered why we should have published another Wild West. After seeing the movie, it is so good that everyone remembers and talks about it. Brad Pitt stars as Jesse James alongside Casey Affleck who plays Robert Ford. The film moves to the end of the life of Jesse James when he meets Jesse James Robert Ford who idolizes James and wants him to be outcast like him. The intense character relationships are brilliantly built, following the story of the murder of James Ford. Ford believed himself that this would be the act that would put him at the top, but that’s not what history wanted. Amazingly the best movie!
Burn the Bed (2008)
When you’re in a movie with George Clooney and you’re George Clooney’s first appearance as People Magazine‘s Sexiest Man Alive twice, you expect second billing in the movie’s credit line. But, Brad believes above John Malkovich in the line, so I consider Brad Pitt in the puzzle for Chad Feldheimer. You might say I’m basing this on the Cohen Brothers, but Brad Pitt’s portrayal of a quirky gym operator who finds a CIA disc is hilarious! You don’t see Brad Pitt in many funny roles, so I had to see how Pitt would handle the Cohen material. I loved it! Chad and his accomplice, played by Frances McDormand, enter each plot to receive cash for information they believe will be revealed. Brad Pitt worked on the new part.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)
Although this movie wasn’t one of my all-time favorites because it pulled in places, it won three Academy Awards and I thought it was the best performance of Brad Pitt’s career. I loved watching Brad Pitt act in a role that not only involved drop-dead gorgeous looks, but he still had roles where his sex appeal filled the big screen. After seeing the movie, I can’t imagine another actor who could play his part as well as Brad Pitt, although Tom Cruise was my favorite for the first part. Later in the film project Ron Howard was supposed to direct with John Travolta playing the lead. Seven stories were “hit” in the film, another one of Brad Pitt’s prodigious life attachments is seen as number seven.
