ABBA, a popular Swedish band, released a number of hits in the 1970s that remain well-known and well-known by millions to this day. Since ABBA’s songs have always received the most widespread airplay, we’ve recently heard more about ABBA and their classic music since the debut of “Mamma Mia!” on Broadway and the 2008 release of the film was based on the Broadway production.
My awareness of ABBA was limited to about four songs by the band until the movie “Mamma Mia!” in theaters over the summer of 2008. I have a dream
Although the song was not originally released on United, I Have a Dream< /i> was one of It was ABBA’s 1979 title. In 1981, Cristy Lane’s rendition reached #17 on the US Country Singles chart.

Following Dancing Queen in the US charts, Knowing Me, Knowing You was a Top 40 hit for ten weeks in 1977, peaking at #14.

Mamma Mia
I probably wanted to find out a little more about the song, but it’s a Broadway hit and a popular movie title. Mamma Mia spent four weeks in the Top 40 four times during the summer of 1976, including at #32.

The last song on the ABBA album produced during their time as a band, Through My Fingers The Fall was released in late 1981.
SOS
In 1975, SOS spent eight weeks in the Top 40 and reached #15. The Billboard Book Top 40 Hits notes that this is the only chart on which both songs hit. the song title and band name are palindromes (where the word can be read both before and after).

In 1978, Sin in Me broke into the Top 5 and spent fourteen weeks in the Top 40, peaking at #3 at one point in the US.

We all learned “The Name of the Game” when this song nine weeks in the Top a> 40 US charts in 1978 and reached # 12
The winner takes it all
On the charts in 1981, Victor Takes It All was a Top 10 hit and spent sixteen weeks in the Top 40. The song was also the #1 “Adult Contemporary Hit” for 2 weeks.
Under attack
Although it did not reach the Top 40 in the US charts, this was among the last songs released by ABBA before they disbanded in 1982.

When All Is Said and Done
The last Top 40 hit in America for ABBA, When All Is Said and Done was a chart-topping swan song for the group in 1982; When All Was Said and Done reached #27 and spent eight weeks on the Top 40 charts.
