The best way to do this is to specialize in the special area of makeup artistry. Part 1 of this article provides you with an overview of the various schools of art within the entertainment industry.
1. Celebrity
Celebrity artists work with movie stars, singers, television personalities etc. As a celebrity makeup artist you will provide your clients with personal services, promotions and press appearances, red dress events, print work and other public appearances as needed. Celebrity stylists usually work as part of a team (often called a “glam squad”) to make their clients look their best in public. This team typically includes a hair stylist and a fashion stylist.
As a celebrity makeup artist you need to be extremely flexible with your schedule. You will be on-call 24 hours seven days a week. Celebrity artists are often required to travel extensively with their clients. 2. Sem

4. Theater
The artists in the theater provide services to the theatrical group of actors, singers and dancers who perform on the stage. As a makeup artist working in a theater, he will work with theatrical groups, typically in a dressing room. Many makeup artists working in theater have special effects makeup training. Theater groups typically perform on a regular schedule. In some instances, however, there is more than one operation per day. Artists who work in a theater can work in one place when their group performs regularly from one theater.
