The bad Christians are at it again.
This time, they conspired together to make sure that their favorite son Kris Allen won, while gay rival Adam Lambert, from the popular “American Idol” competition.
It is certainly the case that the worshipers of Adam Lambert are shouting a lot from these.
I first heard about this controversy on the popular radio show country music “Doc and Grace Stay”. (K92FM) Prox. The host “Doc” Holliday, a supporter of Adam Lambert, complained about the loss of his beloved Kris Allen, whom he considered as if he had no talent against Lambert, whom he had praised as having a ‘mighty singing voice’.
Doc is fired with the reason why Lambert lost because of the “anti-gay Christian community” he decided to go to college and vote for Kris Allen, who worked as a worship leader in the church (he is also a widely believed supporter of Danny Gokey; who he is the director of church music, he can play a part in this object by helping Allen after leaving Gokey). Judging by the outcry from several media sources, Doc is not alone in this theory.
Disturbed Canadian fan Alison Edgar speculated that Lambert was too “radical” for American viewers.
“I think some Kris and Danny fans got together and said, ‘Ada’s too wierd,’ let him out,” he said.
Honestly now, do you believe that the people American-idol-winners”>American Idol are those voters?
Grace Vasquez, the host doc on the show, stayed out of her voice for the most part, but she was right to point out that American Idol, and others like it, are really more about popularity than talent. Anyone who follows the show knows that sometimes the losers are more successful in music careers than the winners. Just ask Ruben Studdard and Taylor Hicks.
The second thought, he forgot. That is not useful.
This thing reminds me of a scene from the Russel Crowe movie “Gladiator.
Neighbor (Oliver Reed), an old dealer and former gladiator who has taken his freedom, chastises his greatest fighter, The Great (Russell Crowe), for killing his opponents too quickly, thereby failing to “show off” for the crowd. Munda’s talent alone would not be enough to survive the Colosseum.
“I wasn’t the best because I was killed quickly,” he said. “I was the best because the crowd loved me. Win the crowd and you’ll get freedom.”
It’s not about talent, it’s about popularity. How the neighbor won his freedom.
It shows how best the contestants can go on to be decided in the finals.
Barack Obama won the last election. Sad but true. It’s called ‘American Idol Selection’.
Surely the American Idol controversy is going to change our lives in any way, so let’s get it together. If we only paid attention to the issues that affect our lives, maybe our country wouldn’t be in the mess it is now.
